Know2 the Word. Know how the devil operates. If you don’t learn golf, you can’t enjoy it. Play with golfers better than you to learn about it. If you are a Christian, the devil can’t do anything to you. Resist the devil and he will flee.
:I gave you the keys of hell and death
Matthew 12:25 (King James Version)

25And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
My pen goes out. Karen by me doesn’t have 1. Larry gives me his. I pray for Jesus to bless him. This morning my other pen went out. The devil is real. It doesn’t matter what you believe. A family full of strife won't stand. Husband must retain peace in the home. God Almighty’s grace gets you in church. Praise the Lord I have family in church. What if I had NO family or friends in church?
The devil has a kingdom. Everybody wishes Adam had listened to God Almighty. He was Put in the Garden. He Prohibited. God Almighty kept His Promise. Adam’s sin found death. He died a 970m. The moment he bit the fruit, his spirit died.
Psalm 51

1Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

2Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

4Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
Matthew 6

1Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11Give us this day our daily bread.

12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Sin wasn't on earth at first. Luke 4
9And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
Learn about the kingdom of darkness. WHEN he KNOCKS ON YOUR DOOR, SAY NO. we need all of the body of Jesus,. Jesus always helped when he was needed. John 3:8 (King James Version)
8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Any concept that doesn’t line up with the Word, get it out. If it doesn’t substantiate Jesus Christ, it is wrong.
Ephesians 6:12 (King James Version)

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Paul went through so much. Church surrounded him, praying. He got up and walked away. Paul kept on keeping on. God Almighty always causes us to triumph. You have to keep pressing. We need to always pray for our leaders. Intercede for the leaders. You have no option. Pray for the office of the President. What you bind on earth God Almighty binds in heaven. Jesus puts needed prayers in your mind. Use Jesus’ name against the devil. Demons or the devil don’t want you to use the name of Jesus. God Almighty’s name was taken off our money for that reason. Jesus gives you power to tread over serpents. The devil can’t do anything to you now that you have the keys to heaven.
Isaiah 13:17-18 (King James Version)

17Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

18Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
Pray for the people God Almighty brings to your mind. 2 men come to the smallgrpoup room and get 2 fans BECAUSE THEIR AIR IS BROKEN. If you don’t believe in something, you leave it out.
Luke 13

1There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

3I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

4Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

5I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

6He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
Demons in the pigs. 6k are in a legion. Demons have to be in something. An important part of the ministry of Jesus was the healing he gave to people who were disabled in a physical, emotional or mental way. The story of the crippled woman deals with physical healing, but it has a larger dimension. Her twisted body, permanently bent downwards, was a symbol of those who lack hope. The story suggests that, with Jesus’ help, we can raise ourselves so that our vision is upwards, to God. [-] Is cancer an infirmity? Larry says he will get to me on that. If you don’t know something, ask Jesus.
You don’t have to know the name of the infirmity.

Please pray Jesus blesses its sharers. ^^^^ the spirit of trouble isn’t of God but of the devil. That must be why rejecters turn me off so badly. I thought Jesus was saying avoid them,. Then I learned we can hear wrongly. Then saw disgust in my soul so bad I saw it was me. An infirmity I pledge to avoid. Like when I was told a promise was a dream I went through a window in response. I don’t want to ever be that extreme. I can’t count the windows Dad went through. Hereditary determinism? Jesus had all the gifts and was operating them because He knew how to pray. Jesus Christ told the foul spirit to come out in the name of Jesus. Doctors gave up on cystic fibrosis says a member. The demon was prayed out and she healed. Keep pressing in. There’s no excuse to not help people in need. We need to work together.

Matthew 21

1And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,

2Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

3And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them.

4All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,

5Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

6And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,

7And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.

8And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.

9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

10And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

Deuteronomy 1

1These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

2(There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)

3And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

4After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei:

5On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying,

6The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

7Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.

8Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.

9And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

e glad in the Lord at all times: again I say, Be glad.
Philippians 4:4
Did you know personalities rub off on people? Granny laughed all day always. Papa smiled all the time. I was always around them. They rubbed off on me. Getting the Spirit very, very greatly increased everything! It’s sad you have to be told to be happy. The reason you see the command is it’s a choice. Just like you can tell who your children have been around due to their behavior. It’s amazing how many old friends stopped talking to me after I got the Spirit. But big deal. I'm not crying about it. I’m happier than ever before. We base our faith on Jesus Christ, the Son of God, brother of all, Savior of the world, and upon His Word, the Bible. The Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
The Bible is everything. Written by God's penmen, the holy Prophets and Apostles of old, the fundamentals of faith and essential truths have been preserved in His Word. The Bible reveals the character of God and His will for the behavior of men and women today and throughout the history of the world. The Gospel gives life. God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to be born of a virgin, to grow to manhood while teaching and healing His fellow humans, suffer and give up His life on the cross, to be buried and then rise from the dead on the third day. He returned to heaven to the right hand of the Father, where He prepares mansions for those who accept His selfless gift. Because of His sinless life, death for the sins of mankind, and His glorious resurrection, Jesus has made a way for men and women to live eternally with Him. "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6) I CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE THIS MISTAKE! 4.28.06 my little 28m brother killed himself. My birthday I was identifying his body. We got his stuff. It looked like Ecuador where he lived! That’s why Ecuador made my chemicals flow backwards like it did. I’m feeling it come back right now! He killed himself 2.28.06! UGH! Also I blundered here: He just like my dad wanted to go to church. That was so till their suicide 1.16.99 and 2.287.06 I meant 2.28.06. This makes me want to indeed be more careful when I proofread. Ecuador was so emotional for me because it reminded me of my brother’s living condition as he ran from the police. I was hurting very, very much, suppressing it! Every time I told Justin something wonderful happening at church he’d always say, “I wish I was there.” Please pray for West Star Mortgage. Ecuador brought my brother’s living condition to life. It was amazingly hard for me to go claim his stuff and see the lifestyle he was in. It was a basement apartment. The inside looked like a shack. There was a little TV on top of a bigger 1. I saw where his body was found. And it never became so alive till I went to Ecuador and saw how they live. Philippians 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ [-] In Ecuador, I wasn’t myself because of the condition they live in. It reminded me of my brother’s welfare as he ran from the police. He was running from them because jail is so unfair. The big, bad prisoners are in charge of even the police. It was very, very humbling and when Justin was put there he had been on his high horse. Driving a shiny sports car before a shiny sports car. Huge social life. Then he broke in aunt’s after being locked out, cousin living ther, stole and sold our deceased uncle’s gun, broke parole, and ran from the police. What if he’d been humbled and always submissive to authority? Likely he’d still be here. Definitely more Christ like. Even Papa wouldn’t go to the nursing home till it was medically inevitable. Acts 2:42-47 The Fellowship of the Believers 42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. [-] It’s so easy to see the circumstances people face because of the bad attitude they had. But we should also do a heart check on ourselves. 2.28.06 my brother’s suicide ended his 28 years of life. I had a nightmare and went to his room to confirm it was a dream. That was a decade before his death. In the nightmare, I dreamed I walked into Granny’s and everybody was crying. All kind of family there. They said Justin died in a car wreck. I woke and made sure he was alive. It was a very, very real dream. Then when he really died, it was still very, very hard. Especially when we went to claim his stuff. On drugs, he was living like they do in Ecuador. Both occasions were very, very hard! My MySpace was cancelled because I was soliciting so many mortgages. So my new 1 I decided to have no pics to make my ministry more of a focus. In the background, little Joe just announced Hoss is getting married. It’s a TEEN SHOW. Little Joe is enthusiastic, keen, passionate, and fervent. So is Ben when he hears. Stuff like that was all I ever witnessed after my traumatic brain injury. + every friend getting married. It was all I prayed for. Then I started hearing about marriage and I prayed for a paradigm shift. 181 rejections later, marriage is the very last thing I want. Ben was happy and said he didn’t know Hoss had the sense. When I heard that with the TV to my back I was reminded of the change I had in my heart. Now I'm very, very happy I prayed the prayer. As I’m writing, I’m waiting on Mom to come home and take me to my birthday dinner. I don’t know where it is. I was baptized as a baby. A little less than 35 years ago. I don’t remember it at all. But I do know where I am. In the church. I Read the Bible and pray daily. I also work on the Bible papers daily. That's something that makes you wonder could it all be rooted in my baby baptism? After all, an occurrence leads to an experience leads to a happening leads to an event leads to an incident…. Maybe everything that happened to me roots to my childhood baptism. Do I expect everybody to agree with me? NO!!!!! I learned long ago you can’t make everybody happy. But all my life I felt the Lord speaking to me and when I started putting it on paper I found my calling…. I just ate at Red Lobster for my 35th birthday. I'm twice as old as Dad and a year when he had me. He was 17 and when I meet a 17 year old now, it’s hard to believe he was that young! (Half my age + 1 year!!!!!!!!!) People can worry about that or they can look at what Jesus wants. To nitpick about triviality or to see what he is trying to say? Dad said Mom’s divorcing him was unbelievably hard. My little brother had a baby at 24 years age. Went to jail. Got out. Broke his parole. Ran from the police. And hung himself. The whole time he was running he wanted to get things back like they were without ever going back to jail. Impossible. You have to choose the rough row to hoe to get to the mountain top. There are no shortcuts. The devil will always oppose you. It’s a continual fight of light against darkness. Braves lost to the Mets 4-2. I remember when John Rocker got in so much trouble for running his mouth with the Mets. That could be why I don’t care if my team lost to them. But mainly because I don’t care about my team in the beginning of the season. Http://7274247267.blogspot.com/2010/03/west-star-mortgage.html
There are some Bible papers somewhere in that link. I haven’t tried it off my pc, which has an automatic password. You have to click follow on the right blog. When somebody is using you, they will act wholly interested in you. You can tell them all about your faults and they’ll be very supportive of you if they are using you. They’ll say they believe in you if they're using you. When you see somebody who knows how you feel in places, you support them more. There's a competitor on American Idol that has an aunt and uncle raise, support, and make all kinds of sacrifices for him. I had the same thing happen to me because of my aunt and uncle. I fear I’ll vote for him for that reason and not his singing. That's not what the show is about. It reminds me of Granny’s friend saying she voted for Clinton because he’s “cute.” I told her that's not reason to vote for somebody. But it turned out he was a good business man and that’s what the government needed at the time. But that’ll always b controversial. Put God Almighty in charge and everything will be ok. If everybody honored the Bible, no politicians would be needed. If everybody helped each other and made sacrifices for each other, the policemen would be unneeded. THAT MEANS FEWER FUNDS WOULD BE WASTED. THEREFORE it’s a waste of money if it isn’t going for the Lord’s glory. The more you can dodge to glory God Almighty, the better off you’ll be. Sin deglories God Almighty. That means Christianity is a boost to holiness. God Almighty will bless you if you glory Him more. You’ll have louder prayers. If you don’t hear a noise, it isn’t a noise. That's talking about gossip. It was in a book I was reading. If somebody gossips to you, they see you as somebody who likes gossip. That should bother you. I told Mom that on the way to church, which I read today. When I get to church, I see the chairs are already set up! What!? I ask Mike why. He says they were here when he got here. From Monday smallgroup. That’s cool. I was shocked at 1st. blessed be God Almighty’s name when I'm in the desert place. My heart will choose to say blessed be God Almighty’s name. Workday I’ll be out of town, so I need a job Saturday. I’ll ask Ladonna for the duty list to choose a job. Before that decision is finalized, I decide to scrub tables. I used to be on my knees 60 hours a week, laying carpet, so I thought I’d be doing something along those lines. But I’ll scrub tables if need be. Whatever God Almighty wants is what I’ll do. I give all that I am to God Almighty. God Almighty gives me 1m reasons to trust Him. I was going to ask Tina something. I think about where she's from. She says Douglas. The last time I asked, she just said a little town. I say I’m from Statham, but say Winder because Statham is so little. Amazing Grace is on the screen. I have been meeting my writing regimen, praise the Lord, and if I stay in the habit, that's easy. 19:02 I don’t see Pastor Anthony. Wednesday church between Sundays. It keeps us going. God Almighty’s mercies are made new every morning. I keep yawning because I have a very tired brain. 19:06 I spot Pastor Anthony walking to his seat. It’s on a row with other seats. I can be a light unto the world. I think of what I read. A noise isn’t a noise unheard. I love that. It’s God Almighty I live for. God Almighty paints the night sky. God Almighty, you reign! God Almighty, you reign! God Almighty, you reign! God Almighty, you reign! God Almighty, you reign! Choir tryouts after church. I'm excited and nervous about that. I want to go to Haiti because of all the pictures of need I see. I hug Nilda. God Almighty is good all the time. Pastor Anthony will be turning I think 46 soon. Workday is the 13th and Mom said we are going to be out of town, so I’ll get a deed Saturday. We have a speaker coming. They thought he was dead. He was buried alive. A huge wave washed him up. He’s speaking to us about Islam. About reaching Muslims. I have some of them in my family. They’re everywhere. We need to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Next Saturday. Mar 20. 8a. Planting. Cleaning. Take pride in your church. Care for the church. Mar 28 Rock and the Rabbi. Marriage after divorce is adultery. Marriage series coming. Divorce is not God Almighty’s plan. No condemnation. Keep marriage together. Marriage is very, very hard. Invite everybody. Exercising Covenant Authority of the Covenant. The power of your words. God Almighty spoke and something happened. God Almighty breathed into Adam and gave him life. How do you make a man’s day? There are entirely too many returns to list just one. Kids don’t play outside anymore. Get your kids doing something. Don't lie. If their act isn’t good, don’t say it is. Positive words create an atmosphere. They’re enthusing.
Luke 10:19 (King James Version)

19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Jesus gave us authority. God Almighty is speaking. In Jesus you have authority over the enemy. Jesus was giving the disciples authority over the enemy.
Matthew 8:5-13 (King James Version)

5And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,

6And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

7And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

8The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

10When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

13And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Jesus spoke the Word. Every demon in hell couldn’t stand against your speaking the Word. Jesus’ authority. Just say the Word. Jesus was surprised by this. People will be outside the Covenant, but they have authority because of their words. You need to understand what you are in Jesus and what kind of authority you have. Words change atmosphere. Once in high school, a bully swung at me in shop. I ducked and got him in a headlock then DDTd him into a concrete shop floor. Not long after that, I accidentally snake spit on a very, very big football player’s arm in lunch. He pushed the table and said he was going to beat me up. I hit the table and said do it. He said I wasn’t worth it, lol. Sheww! Faith and authority are connected.
Genesis 1:26 (New International Version)

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

God Almighty is giving you rule over something not yours. Be careful with others’ stuff.
Psalm 8:4-6 (New International Version)

4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings [a]
and crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands;
you put everything under his feet: We are stewards of the earth. God Almighty has given us authority. And dominion. Adam fumbled the ball and the flesh ran with it.
Genesis 3:7

Listen to this passage

7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Genesis 3:5-6

Listen to this passage

5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Adam didn’t exercise Kingdom authority. There was a preacher that pointed out in a past church’s Sunday school everybody blames Eve when it was Adam’s fault for not emphasizing the importance of ignoring the enemy. Soon we will see another aspect similar to that. Words are seeds. Adam should’ve ran the devil off. That’s the aspect I was talking about. The last I heard of that preacher is he quit preaching and got a divorce. Submission is very unpopular today. Men are more authoritive and have more authority. You can't be responsible without authority. If Adam had exercised his authority, we’d be in the Garden, naked and not even know it.

Heb 11:2

Abundant Life used to be Word of Faith. There was a faith happening in the eighth chapter of Matthew that got so intense that Jesus himself marveled at the situation. It reads like this: “And when Jesus entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, and saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof; but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say unto this man Go, and he goeth; and to another, come, and he cometh, and to my servant do this, and he doeth it.

When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.” (Mat. 8: 5 thru 10 KJV)
Words have authority.
Genesis 1:12 (New American Standard Bible)

12The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.
In the realm of the Spirit.
Tomato seeds don’t get oranges. Grape seeds don’t get avocados. Fig seeds don’t get persimmons. Doubt and confusion gets doubt and confusion. Plant love. Plant love. Plant love. Plant love. Plant love.

Luke 17:5-6 (New American Standard Bible)

5(A)The apostles said to (B)the Lord, "Increase our faith!"

6And (C)the Lord said, "If you had faith like (D)a mustard seed, you would say to this (E)mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea'; and it would obey you.
Ive been taking church notes 15 years. Maybe I should be in choir. Read above and below the verse. Overcome problems with forgiving people. After trusted loved ones told me a promise was a dream, reactively I went through a window out of spite. 6 month coma, Dad’s, brother’s, Granny and Papa’s death later, I ask myself, was it worth it?
Genesis 2:7-8 (New International Version)

7 the LORD God formed the man [a] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.
God Almighty breathed into man and man became life. We have the breath of God Almighty in us. I thinhk of my lung tap scar thanks to my rebellion. You have the capacity to speak as God Almighty spoke. Have faith in that. Work and practice that. Don’t forget you have God Almighty ’s authority in you.
1 Corinthians 2:12 (New International Version)

12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
Romans 6:16-18 (New International Version)

16Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

God Almighty has all authority. The Lord gave it to Adam. Adam dropped the ball. The devil ran with it. You have faith. Don’t have negative emotions. In the group after sermon, I tell about seeing my neighbor come home from vacation. I ran out and grabbed their bags. Bringing them in. When I saw a month later they just went grocery shopping, I asked to help. They said they had it. I should’ve started without asking. I didn’t say this, but in our wind storm, their trashcans were blown down the road. I went and got them and put them back. Shirley says she feeds stray cats and they tell each other. God Almighty reveals a new level of Covenant authority to you. Times change. People change. On the surface, people don’t want to hear you. But they take in what you say and cogitate it. You’ll see them change. I point out the school bully thinks he's bad as long as everybody agrees. (I was very, very easy to push around. Till trusted loved ones lied to me and I lost all worth. When you feel no reason to live, you have nothing to live for. People sense that sort of stuff.) David had authority 22 years before he started exercising it. He stepped out on it. You need the personality to walk in Kingdom authority. Either you are an introvert or an extrovert. Peter was spontaneous. Don’t put authority in a personality type. An invert can say 1 thing and it be very, very powerful. Personality can determine authority. (It looks like there are different opinions.) Choice. Recognize God Almighty’s authority. Faith exercises authority. Take authority over darkness. Pray. Read the Bible. Fast. Negative words can change your path. Shirley tells about living in a house with 8 people and 1 bathroom. There are time zones. You have great authority in your house. Speak respect into your children.
Choir tryouts are re
ached. I’m confident I got what it takes. My sister, on the way to J&J Flea market said just hum and that tunes your voice in. I’ve done that a decade now. So….
Leaving the tryouts, I see I have pitch problems. My sister didn’t tell me about that. Then on the way home, I decide I need to be writing. If a woman turns me down, there’s more fish in the sea. This is different. I gained more security in writing. I want to focus on that. So I’m not making the decision like it’s a date. More like it’s more indicative of where I belong.

4.28.06 my little 28m brother killed himself. My birthjday I was identifying his body. We got his stuff. It looked like Ecuador where he lived! That’s why Ecuador made my chemicals flow backwards like it did. Im feeling it come back right now!
Bp181
2 Chronicles 6:13

13For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.
In my Bible, it was a measure of 666. I thought of how that number has always scared me since I was a little boy. My Private/Christian school had taught a lesson about 666 and it hit so hard I lived my life scared of that number. Once, at the pharmacy, the bill came to 6.66 dollars. I was launching for some candy when the cashier said she’d make it 6.65 dollars. Fill your life with praise for Jesus. For this cause make yourselves low under the strong hand of God, so that when the time comes you may be lifted up.

1 Peter 5:6
world had command over Dad and wouldn’t let him go to church. He just
like my brother wanted to go to church. That was so till their suicide
1.16.99 and 2.287.06. If you are saved, your clout is invisible but
very big. I like what a man said. I don’t care how much money I make,
but what store do I go to get my brother back?” The brother was little
and killed in a car wreck. [-] I meant 2.28.06. I learned I can't go to Checz missions. That was disappointing. Not ministering people in missions means I’ll be ministering them in my ministry. It also means I’ll be putting more energy in praising the Lord. Then I’ll show you the blessings that gets. Praising the Lord is an expression of admiration., Those are words that express approval or admiration, like for somebody's achievements or for something's good qualities If you think of the many, many achievements of Jesus in your life, you see Jesus deserves tons of worship and thanks. With only 2 married women on our team I definitely don’t want to go either. But if Jesus wants me to go, I will. Instead, I’ll use this transitive verb praise and turn it into a past participle praised. That is to express admiration for somebody, which is approval or admiration. In my heart, I’ll be making positive statements about Jesus. It’s typically, but not exclusively, earned relative to achievement and accomplishment. Don’t be sarcastic with your praise. It should be serous and from your heart. It’s a impassioned exaltation of God. Then you are Praising the Lord. And that’s why we are here. I might not have this attitude if 181 women hadn’t rejected me. Then when the Lord hears my voice after this great term of praise, He will be quicker to tend to my desire. The 181 women and rejections not only totally, completely humiliated me, but gave me a greater desire to be with Jesus. In heaven, these entirely shamed feelings are unknown. I can accredit those 181 women for these absolutely mortified feelings that make me desire to live on an Indian tribe. I’ll be able to always exercise missions. It’s a great feeling, unlike the absolutely disgraced outlook the 181 rejecters gave me. But look on the bright side. Because of the wholly embarrassed manner that brought me to this fully dishonored position I’ll be blessing my eternity and to me nothing is more important than eternity. I’ll praise the Supreme Being’s Greatness. I’ll worship Jesus. That relates to God’s holiness. It’s thanks given to God’s goodness. Praise is the appropriate, the only, response to Gods greatness. Praise is what Jesus deserves. It doesn't depend on our visible situations or circumstances, feelings. Like the news I got I won't be going on missions. Praise the Lord with a basis on unchangeable facts. His mercy is everlasting his truth endures to all generations. Praise is a good thing. Think of the way responsive to praise and will increase in self-esteem or confidence if a suitable amount of praise is received. Some psychological theories hold that a person's life is comprised largely of attempts to win praise for their actions. However, some people are less affected by or even averse to praise, for example people with autism or schizoid personality disorder. When I started helping my brother wiring, his boss was AMAZED and you wouldn’t believe how he was praising me. I looked at him and smiled, “Dale Carnegie.” It was a book I read for bosses. Back in those days I was reading every piece of writing I could get my hands on, JR, the boss, nodded and started laughing. He admitted that he read that book. It was about managing workers. Papa’s. If you flatter them, they’ll work harder for you. I think my reading that book is why I got this desire. Even my brother and his co worker were amazed how much more efficient we were. I made it possible for them to stay on their ladder. I was making needed runs for them. Praise and children are noted. Reward the attainment of specified goals, not just participation, of the child. Praise small changes and successes. Waiting for perfection may take forever. Back when I went girl crazy, id look at opportunities for God Almighty to present my wife. I’m missing a rib. But I was too worried about my rib. So I prayed for the Lord God Almighty to remove it. After 181 women rejected me, I can truly say I'm not girl crazy anymore. Praise the Lord. Praise makes me think of Jesus. I’m giving Jesus a descriptive and specific notice with praise. I’m honoring His goodness, love, and joy. A lot of praise is required to outweigh one criticism. Researchers suggest a ratio of 6:1. That means in light of the bad things people say to God Almighty for our economy I’m going to fill my life with praise for Jesus. Ensure praise being given to the child is deserved. You don’t praise a 16 year old for quitting school. Since God Almighty does only good, God Almighty deserves only praise. In my early 20s, all I wanted was to get married. 181 women gave me a paradigm shift. Encourage good behavior with praise, rather than pointing out bad behavior. Instead of telling God Almighty how sad I am I can't go on missions, I am pointing out my gladness in my knowledge of Him. After all, I’m reading through the Bible an 18th time. Praise progress is in relation to God Almighty’s past progress in your life, NOT compared with others. Teachers should NOT praise uninvolved students for not disrupting the class. Spend your day expressing approval or admiration. To praise is to voice approbation, commendation, or esteem: "He was enthusiastically praising the beauties of Gothic architecture" (Francis Marion Crawford). That inspires me to acclaim hearty approbation warmly and publicly expressed to Jesus. All day, Jesus will be highly acclaimed by my honor in Him…. After leaving the pc a minute and coming back, walking down the hall, I started singing in tongues. I’m giving Jesus whole approval for His goodness. It deserves nothing but sincere praise. When I visited the high school years after graduation, all I could remember was the many times I was called to the office. When I set up chairs and tables at church, all I can remember is my many detentions after school, sweeping and mopping the cafeteria. I think I want to express love and joy solely to Jesus because I see how troublesome I was to Him in my past. After I was told a promise was a dream, I became a total reprobate. Jesus is so merciful He deserves only exaltation or glorification: I’m extolling Jesus the rest of my life. If that were my mindset in the past, I know the 181 rejecters wouldn’t have occurred. I’m going to, no, I fill my heart with so much praise for Jesus it’ll be lauded up to the skies. The fact I read the book on managing people and praising them for good work makes me a big praiser of Jesus. I do it a lot anyhow. Also, not long after reading the book on praising your employees I started reading the Bible. Because of the book about praising your employees I was moved by Joseph in the well, praising the Lord very much then getting rescued. Those 2 things stand out for a good reason. So now I fill my life with praise for the Lord. Mom’s dog isn’t very social with me. Unless it’s thundering. Heating my TV dinner, waiting, I looked at him and flattered him how sweet he is. I sat at the kitchen table as the microwave hummed. He came over and stood to put his paws on my leg. Loving me. Confirming what I said about flattering God Almighty. I was reading in the wind. It got unbearable. Blowing so hard. So I decided to come share what I’m reading. Psalm 23 (King James Version)

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

[-] As it booted up, Jesus said he wants me to relate the 181 to give me a better understanding.
Psalm 23 (King James Version)

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. What if I had more to fuss about than loss? I could’ve gained loss by not getting rejected a lot more than by getting rejected.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. [-] Sheep are scared of running water. The shepherd dams the creek to give the sheep something to drink. My brother wasn’t rejected and had a baby. That created so many problems he killed himself. [-]
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. [-] Jesus led me to the wonderful church of Abundant Life to give me direction. Since I decided 181 rejections more of a blessing than a curse, I see the fact I was attending Abundant Life when #181 happened. [-]
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
The valley of death was a very scary place for the sheep, steep and dangerous, hopeless without the shepherd. [-]
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
The shepherd plucked poisonous plants and cut away thorns that’d pierce the sheep’s nose. The great pain from my 181 was really exercised to help me face other problems I may have. When Pam told her bf I hugged her against her will, she also used to do the same thing to me when we were talking. His step dad got in it and blew it all out of proportion. I emailed Pam, asking her out a month ago. I never got an answer. But she knows I don’t ask anybody out again after they tell me no. It was great pain, but that's because I wasn’t ready for it at all. The step dad made it what it wasn’t. Then I later realized she didn’t mean as much as I thought she did. Also, the pain made me sob like it did because I was so tender. The more you get hurt, the better you handle pain. If we started going out again and I hear she told somebody I hugged her against her will, it’ll be easier. I’ll say, “Again?”[-]
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever [-] Anybody who knows God Almighty will tell you He is merciful. After I purposely entered the path of destruction in response to a lie, mercy is the only reason I’m still here. As I walked back to my pc with a cup of coffee, I remembered how hard it was to walk 16 yrs ago. Now how much I walk without personally praising the Lord for the God given ability. Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Jesus! If someone takes your coat, give him your cloak as well; if he makes you go a mile with him, go with him two. If you are more like Jesus, He is more active in your life. Trouble is common. For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again. If you enthuse fellow Christians, you’ll feel likewise enthused. A majority of the people out there frown when you want to talk about joy at church. That should make you feel greater drive to spread the joy of the church. Stop, drop, and roll won't work in hell. Are you good at multitasking? Or do you have to turn the TV down to find a lost pen? I heard a comedian say those 2 things. That reminded me of priorities. Eternity should be important. Praising the Lord should be more important. I often set out to do things alone, Praising the Lord, but my mind gets sidetracked. That’s very easy because I love to think about my writing. I took the dog on a walk, intending to Praise the Lord, and as soon as I was on the sidewalk, I started thinking about books. 1.To keep the mind in a state of contemplation; to dwell on anything in thought; to think seriously; to muse; to cogitate; to reflect. 2. (v. t.) To contemplate; to keep the mind fixed upon; to study. 3. (v. t.) To purpose; to intend; to design; to plan by revolving in the mind; as, to meditate. When you get a whiff of the incomparable glory in Jesus, you can't do anything but praise Him. Be wholesome like Jesus and avoid corruption. Take Lord Jesus at His word. Know that if He said it, it is for sure real! It’s unreal how rare Christianity is to so many people. By being raised in the church it’s just something I take with a grain of salt. And I shouldn’t. So many people have died to give me this life giving liberty that’s my ministry. Churches are a blessing. Going to them is legal for only for a term. What do more people base voting on, Spirituality or economics? You are not reading this by accident. I’m so very glad I'm no longer girl crazy. After the 181, I felt pain. But I also felt a loss of the girl crazy notion. When I was a 12 year old 40 hour a week plumber and electrician, my coworkers in their early 20s were girl crazy. I never thought it’d hit me too. I hated it so much and prayed very hard for it to leave me. 181 manifested I can truly say that prayer was answered. I learned how to take my eyes off me. It was the shock of Ecuador’s chill that truly opened my eyes to the poverty out there. Now, that’s a real problem. When I was girl crazy, all I wanted was to lose it. After the 181, my vision cleared up and I set my focus on God Almighty….. I just got up., Fri morning. I woke with the remembrance on my mind of a time my brother mixed ammonia and Clorox, ingesting it. He had just called a friend. That friend called Katy and 911. they found him by the road in the driveway, laying there. He fought with the EMT like crazy. It turned out he had called Katy and she very grumpily answered the phone, “What!?” She had been having a heated, impassioned, fiery, intense talk with her bf. Justin and Katy were very close. He used to live with her. He thought she saw caller ID and didn’t want to talk to him. Katy’s mom, Lori, got me out a bed 2a. I found the ambulance with blinking lights in the driveway. Justin was in it, fighting the EMT’s. They were strapping him to the cot. Years later Justin hung himself before anybody could do anything. 7 years before that suicide Dad committed his suicide. His wife years before had found him ODd in the camper. He went through a rehab sort of thing for suicide as Justin before the final suicide. Neither rehab fixed either soul. If they had looked at their trouble as minor issues, they’d still be here. Pam’s taunting her bf would've been fine if I had let the step dad say what he had to say. The fact she and I had been talking a year also made me feel like we saw each other different. I blew up. The step dad made me text an apology to her. I knew Pam to do stuff like that. But the step dad didn’t. I was in the wrong for the way I acted. And now I say to you, Do nothing to these men, but let them be: for if this teaching or this work is of men, it will come to nothing: But if it is of God, you will not be able to overcome them, and you are in danger of fighting against God. Acts 5:38-39 Endorphins are incomparably sensational, excellently amazing, unbeatably astounding, very marvelous, matchlessly exciting, outstandingly thrilling, exceptionally breathtaking, consummately out of this world, and supremely magnificent!!! Needless to say feeling very, very good. I am so happy about endorphins because look at the good feeling you get free of charge! I was in a very strange place. I was wrestling him, the school bully, to show him he wasn’t as bad as he thought. But it was at Zack’s house. Zack would later win Most Likely To Succeed and 8 years earlier he was in a movie with Michael J Fox. When that happened, it was my first year in a public school. I meant in a movie with Michael J Fox. UGH!!!! I changed my auto correct from Jesus Fox to J Fox because that isn’t the 1st time I made that mistake!!! UGH! Autocorrect turns j into Jesus because I'm always using the name! I even saw I made the mistake in a query after I had sent it in. it was a very big deal when Zack was in the movie with Michael J Fox in 85. Since I had always prayed, I prayed to be his buddy. Sure enough my Senior year he was a best friend and fellow club hopper and spent the night at my house. Another club hopper with us, Lori, won't answer my mail. She was a cheerleader and grew up and got married. Maybe since she’s married she won't talk to me. Just like the 2 married women going to Czech and my therefore having to stay home. In my Zito 5 this morning, I noticed it took 14 verses to read 6 minutes. I always read more than 6 minutes because if you start the later part of the 1st minute and finish the early part of the 5th minute, you don’t get 5 minutes worth. Besides, I feel the Lord blessing me for reading the Bible at least 5 minutes before I cut the TV on. When I got in a smallgroup years ago, not my current, and I referred to church members as brother or sister, the leader would very cautiously draw up and make a face of fear like I was a cult or something. I kept trying to remember this verse to defend myself. He thought brother and sister references are cultish. Mark 3 Jesus’ Mother and Brothers 31Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. 32A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, “Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you.” 33“Who are my mother and my brothers?” he asked. 34Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 5Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” [-] If I’d said look at Mark 3:4, I could’ve defended myself! That’s why it’s good to know the Bible very well. I just mailed a book to a publisher. Please pray for the time and trend means it’s a best seller. If I have books all over The world, what a great way to advertise my Web and church address!! Hundreds thousands words sermons from pew: myspace.com/michaeldeehouse in my blogs. NO! I just tried to log on and found it terminated. I was sending Mom’s work detail yesterday. That’s likely the reason. It’s no surprise. 1356 people had visited the blog and over 1400 had visited my Bible blog! I know Jesus has a reason for this. But my heart is still broken. I just found this: http://readcol1.blogspot.com/ …. I also restored some of my blog in http://home.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=home Please pray whomever passes that around is very, very greatly blessed!
Maybe it’s God Almighty’s way of getting it around. It has other stuff to say. They didn’t get my permission. I don’t see a counter. But it just hit me! Unless you are a member of my space you can't see that blog. Maybe that’s why my membership was terminated.
http://www.blogger.com/profile/09007865138829279696 That is a link to reach other links. Sorry for all the links. I just found some of my books for sale. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_1?_encoding=UTF8&sort=relevancerank&search-alias=books&field-author=Michael%20%22Dee%22%20House The hilarious thing is I’m not receiving any money. Please pray for money to start favorably coming in my name. Praise the Lord my books are out there. I remember when I started. I almost fainted as I lifted weights in 93 when I thought of my books out for sale. I knew it’d happen and 13 yrs later it did. I always wondered why The world refuses salvation and these verses say it: 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (New International Version) 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. The Spirit is He and the god of the world is the devil! Those are 2 mistakes I often make. God Almighty is my God Almighty and that’s easy to mistake with The world’s god. AT Granny’s funeral a lady tried to comfort me by saying Granny is looking down, protecting me. I shook my head no. they gasped. I clarified in heaven you have NO idea God Almighty could create anything like earth. I told how wonderfully beautiful, magnificently lovely, superbly picturesque, amazingly scenic, and astonishingly delightful God Almighty is and heaven too. I found that in my one on One encounter of Him and 17 years later I’m still feeling it! It helps me accept the many deaths in my family. It pains me to see hundreds thousands words sermons from pew: myspace.com/michaeldeehouse in my blogs is no longer available. Think of all the people using the sermons so close to the end. Please share my blogger. It also has some sermons. Please pray for the my space blog to be restored. I have it under wrietur@gmail.com and michael”DEE”house. I want to reach every church worldwide, for my books to be as common as hymn books. That would be a Spiritual feat, but is what God Almighty wants? Or just michael”DEE”house*? I have to seek Jesus first. I have to yearn His way before mine. I was just cutting my hair and the attachment scared me. I thought it’d fallen off. The green attachment would do that and I'd get an uneven shave. It made me think of something else. Conditions making an encounter seem like a lie and refusal to let you prove yourself. People believe what they want to. If you want to be saved enough, you’ll do research and find you have to confess with your mouth Jesus is your Lord and Savior and invite Him in your heart. Then after you do that you’ll be saved. You have to believe. I saved to a used cd-r and before I did that I put it in the drive and went to fix coffee. In the kitchen, I heard Bo Bice on my pc and found he automatically booted up on media player. I didn’t even know I had Bo on a CD. I had an editor give me a Bo CD, but I lost it.
Reaching Bible Study late, a praise request is summoned. I say I had A PRAYER REQUEST, BUT--. No, I'm quickly told praise request. After some are given I tell about Richard B. Russel park, Richard B. Russel library, Richard B. Russel parkway. There's also Russel town. I tell about his step daughter’s sister telling me her sister made a face when I asked her out probably because she thought I was being mean. Either way no is still unending. Food pantry had a 38” long refrigerator given to it. The conveying was a miracle. Peggy says the prayer. Don’t be double minded about God Almighty. Not “We’ll see.” Say if it’s God Almighty’s will. God Almighty will have final say. Our niche is our calling. Charles and Ernestine did their calling as missionaries 28 yrs. That’s how old my brother was that committed suicide! The devil plays games with your mind. We have to trust Jesus. Don’t have the devil lens.
James 1:7 (New International Version)

7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord;
I recall my bishop saying parking a junk car in the back to not be seen is just as proud as parking shiny new care to not get scratched. Chuick-fil-A is owned by Christians. The founder. Oh, I should’ve said Zaxby’s founders are Christians too. My brother lived with them a while. Zack and Eric Meeler. Their mom also Christian. Having too much is a horrible feeling. Lottery winners are soon broke because they’re not used to having money. Nilda’s dad died and had a full room visitors. A millionaire same funeral home died and had no visitors. The more you have, the more you should help. Pay your tithes the very, very first thing. Pay off church mortgage, so they can help people.
James 1:11-12 (King James Version)

11For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Since you get a crown for doing good deeds, will there be degrees in hell? Hardship will Bring you so down that the only way you can look is up. Always get nearer the Lord. Don’t let tests run you away. When I went girl crazy, I saw my body was wrong. I prayed, I begged God Almighty to erase it. 181 rejections later that’s exactly what I got. %1,000. Persevere or lose your salvation. You need humility, perseverance, and control. Adam and Eve were tested 1 time. I ask if Cain got married. There are lots of opinions about that. Cain got a wife in Nod. Ideas are all we have. We are unequipped. People try to explain stuff.
James 3 (King James Version)

James 3

1My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

2For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

3Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

4Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

5Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

6And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

7For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

8But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

9Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

11Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

12Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Teachers have to be very careful. I think of my brother’s suicide. He admitted Jesus is his Savior with his mouth and I said he was saved. He lit up happy.
James 1:13-14 (King James Version)

13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
God Almighty can't be tempted. Tested and tempted are different. A teabag is no good without hot water. Everything starts in your mind. Thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking it gets results. Hey! After God Almighty answered my prayer and removed my stimulus, I quit trying, lol. Now I can focus on God Almighty. Denial, denial, denial, denial, denial, denial, denial doesn’t make a difference. Admit your sin and move on. When you believe in God Almighty, sin makes you sick. You have to repent when you grieve the holy Spirit. Stay unintoxicated. Persevere. Persist. Continue. Keep at it. There’s always an answer. Things will work out for you. In the long run, God Almighty has a plan. Reach out. Help people. I’m told to stop talking about rejection. That’s though it answered my prayer. 181 rejections. I feel completely different about women now. I used to see them overrated. While I was at a church convention, Dad killed himself. The flesh had a hold of him. On the way home, I joked with a friend’s mom and there was a feeling of care in a caring way. Christian. A week later she was killed on the way to church. Also, a few years ago, my Sunday school teacher there for years died. Your faith means everything.
James 1:13-14 (King James Version)

13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
So many people blame God Almighty for what they did.
James 1:16-17 (King James Version)

16Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Wisdom comes from God Almighty. God Almighty is light. Every good gift comes from God Almighty. There are conditions. God Almighty isn’t responsible for human sin. People ask why God Almighty allowed this to happen. That's our feeling. Repent for sin. Be like the Prodigal Son. You have to take it upon yourself first. Sin is sin. Don’t justify sin. Right is right. Wrong is wrong. Sin makes sin easy. Rewards in heaven? So there are degrees in hell?
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." -JESUS in Luke 16:31 Oh, I just remembered Papa was in a nursing home named after Richard B. Matthew 10 verse 5-6These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions verse "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. [-] 6 women and me. 7 people in all. I was praying what was on my heart. Lord Jesus gave me a perspective change. After 181 rejections, I felt wholly and completely different than previous. I was thanking Jesus for the change. For seeing the truth. For the life I feel after the change. Along with 181 rejections and Dad dying, Granny dying, Papa dying, brother dying, uncle dying, best friend dying, neighbor dying, family friend all my life dying, 20After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. [-] The truth reigns. When you are doubted, take heart. The truth will come out. Soon? Never as soon as we want. Uncle and Jeff have been out to eat and uncle goes to the pits often. They all love joking around and playing tricks on each other. It’s fun hearing names the news and newscasters very often bring up. This will be such a good race. A woman showing up these famous men. I just heard Elvis was spotted. My papa mom was just talking to used to club hop with him. At a Georgia revival, our preacher was preaching a sermon. A woman was getting the Spirit. He saw Elvis looking at her. Then Elvis started doing his jiggle. When Papa said he and Elvis were club hoppers, I prayed for confirmation. Granny got cancer and her VA preacher was on the same base as Papa. I said Elvis was there. He nodded at Papa and said he heard Elvis was there. When you think of singing, do you also think of American Idol? I know I do. It’s maybe the most competed thing in The world. Similar to support is the Dallas Cowboys coat I wore to church today in prayer. When I started Abundant Life, I had seen the sign in the yard. That’s the #1 attraction. Lord God Almighty was turning my head to it. I said, Okay, let me meet somebody that goes there to confirm it. Then I’ll visit. John 2 verse 2 2and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. [-] I was talking to my buddy in the hot tub at the apartments. She said her mom goes there. That was enough. [-] That reminds me of what I read today. For success, you need a plan to get wheat you want. Being in a new land without a map is foolish. Write down your mission plan. You need a map to get where you want. You are better off if you prepare for what is to come. A chart will help you understand the things to come. I just left the room and coming back to the pc, I saw I'm sitting on a UGA folding chair. When you get ready for the trip ahead, there’s less regret. You need a plan you abide by. Make sure the things you have ahead are if possible arranged. Like an atlas helps a farmer to have your tools organized is a big help. It may take drawing a map to make your plan more applicable. Remember it’s worthwhile. A diagram will help set you up for success. IM WATCHING THE RACE. I anticipated somebody wrecking. Even told Mom they would. And the moment they did, I was yelling it. She put her TV on the channel to confirm it. Now I can work on my book. I was watching the race because I was so sure of the wreck. I actually had no doubt. I didn’t say on the paper I think that person will wreck. But I text my uncle with the idea. I haven’t seen Jeff. Come to think of it, he told uncle he’s getting tired of it. Even the winning. It didn’t sound like he wanted to keep winning. Maybe to lose some haters. Where did all of this begin? The Beginning

will lead to an error and that will lead to a fault. It turns into a lost life taking lives with it sometimes. Now it’s 6:30 and I’m completely ready for church. Misplaced priorities will mess you up. Back when I was girl crazy, I was overrating 1 thing, but I knew my feelings weren’t right. So I prayed for Jesus to do something. After #181 rejected me, the paradigm shift that came was like a revolution. Overrating became rationalizing became increasing became decreasing became downsizing, ting back on. In conclusion, my prayer made my tastes more providential. Exodus 3 verse 14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am . [a] This is what you are to say to the Israelites verse 'I AM has sent me to you.' At this time it read: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Bellamy's daughter objected to this alteration. Today it reads: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Section 4 of the Flag Code states: The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Mark 13:9-14 (King James Version)

9But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

10And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

12Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Hebrews 10
Christ's Sacrifice Once for All
1The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, 4because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
"Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;
6with burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.
7Then I said, 'Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—
I have come to do your will, O God.' "[a] 8First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). 9Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. 13Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, 14because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

15The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
16"This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds."[b] 17Then he adds:
Threes nothing wrong with salvation. Threes nothing wrong with PEACE. Threes nothing wrong with JOY. Threes nothing wrong with LOVE. I ask Pat to pray for my book. I’m trying to do 20 k words a day. This morning I did 500. Please pray with her. Offering. I go to get %m out of my wallet. Gaping. Eyes wide. Mouth open. I ask Edwin if he stole my money. He has the offering plate in his hands. He doesn’t know what happened to my money. Lord, help me know You are near. God Almighty says I am His friend. Pray to be receptive. There’s a video on a plant. Different plant. Different stages. Best stage is the 1 that's ‘growing.’ Be open to what God Almighty is saying to you. There was an Abundant Life teen talent and we won trophies. I remember talking about my competitive spirit before church. Brienna, Tyler, our trio, and Danielle won trophies. Make a full commitment to Jesus. Take up your cross daily. Die to self. It reminds me of going girl crazy, praying against it, 181 rejections turning me medically off, and the better focus I have on Jesus. It’s after the prayer for Him to help me and I’m so, so thankful! What kind of soil are you? Are you close to God Almighty? What deposits has God Almighty made in your life? Live right. It’s more than just salvation. What is God Almighty speaking to your heart? Shallow if it’s just going to heaven. You are called to a deeper level. Are you rich with nutrients? Are you close to God Almighty? We all have an adversary. The devil tears you down. He steals the truth from you. Has the message been stole from you?

Do you just put on a show? How are you with nobody looking? Are you a feel good Christian? Only Godly when you feel good? Read the Bible everyday always. Pray always. Give when you don’t feel like it always. Walk it out. Marriage is the hardest thing for most people. I feel good about praying to be turned off and Jesus’ answering it when I hear that. Shallow roots won't make it in marriage. Don’t have rocky soil. It’s so neat I was thinking about this and being medically turned off before church with no idea it was coming. If you grow in rocky soil, you are scorched. Y9oull wilt in hot winds. Don’t let the Word get choked out. You’ll find the Lord is better. I’m so gracious I prayed to get turned off * I did. My buddy met a woman in the park and very soon moved her in. I’m not saying anything, but think. Be always kind, caring, sympathetic, nice, gentle, thoughtful, compassionate, benevolent, humane, considerate, benign, humanitarian, kindly. You Are ALW TESTED. Take up your cross. Receive the message. Get free. Jesus has an expectation of you. Take people with you. What type of soil are you? Right when I got saved, I wanted to start a teen night club that played Christian rock nonstop. I was 19. Terrible 2s are very, very terrible with terrible parents. Dotty’s real name is Dorothy. Ernestine apologizes about not having leaflets. I volunteer to take blame. We get new quarterlies. A member tells about a child eating paper. Dave Rapson moved to Tennessee. We miss him. Ernestine says I won't be interested in today’s lesson. Marriage. I’m always glorying God Almighty for 181 women rejecting me. It may not sound good, but it’s very, very much better than being girl crazy. The more you do something, the easier it gets. They’re talking about public speaking. It always scared me in school. I tell about giving the Pledge to my elementary school on PA and very, very nervous, trembling. What do you think about marriage? Following 181 rejections, it’s the last thing I want. Is it optional? Some single people are happy. I won’t be asking anybody out After 181 rejections, so…. God Almighty intends marriage. Les doesn’t know how you can live unmarried. Before 181 rejections, I had the same view. It used to be everybody’s ultimate goal in life. If God Almighty doesn’t bring anybody in your life, it’s better to be alone. You can devote entirely to God Almighty. Don’t condemn single. Sacred institution or sacred option. You can't live together. Pray and God Almighty will show you the right way. God Almighty established marriage as a basic institution. Think of the loss of the girl crazy motion in response to my prayer!
BIBLE DICTIONARY
Marriage
Among the Israelites, marriage was usually preceded by a formal act of betrothal, such a contract, when once entered on, being regarded as absolutely binding. On the marriage day, the bride was escorted to her husband’s home by a procession consisting of her own companions and the “friends of the bridegroom,” or “children of the bride-chamber,” some carrying torches, and others myrtle branches and chaplets of flowers. When she reached the house, words such as “Take her according to the law of Moses and of Israel” were spoken, the pair were crowned with garlands, and a marriage deed was signed. After the prescribed washing of hands and benediction, the marriage supper was held. For a year after marriage a man was released from all military service. The gospel law of marriage is partially given in Matt. 19: 4-9; Mark 10: 2-12; Rom. 7: 2; 1 Cor. 7. Its meaning, as symbolizing the union between Christ and the Church, is explained in Eph. 5: 22-32.
Latter-day revelation tells us that marriage under the law of the gospel and the holy priesthood is for eternity, and that men and women thus sealed in marriage continue to have children throughout eternity. Although this concept of marriage is not fully presented in our present Bible, traces of it are found in Matt. 16: 16-19; Matt. 19: 3-8; Matt. 22: 23-30; and Moses 4: 18. However, the fullest explanation is found in D&C 132.
Shun the very appearance of evil. Some people even condemn that law. It reminds me of a no from a woman means I’m not asking her out again. Pam still hasn’t told me if she wants to play pool. Why did God Almighty give Adam Eve? Class says man needs help. 1 lady says men are weaker than women. 2 people disagree. I quote Ray Barone and say we open jars and kill bugs. Men are irresponsible. Threes an enmity between us. Women give men direction and warnings. I start talking about the book I’m writing. Buy I’m hushed. It wasn’t bad. Men need women’s intuition. I don’t get a chance to explain women have a stronger right brain left brain connection is why. They know after 181 rejections by women I can't have anything good to say about women. When I do say something about the gift of lost stimulus due to 181 rejections, I get karate chopped on my neck by a woman from behind. I deserved that. I’m just so gracious I’m NO LONGER girl crazy! Adam named all the animals and God Almighty decided he needed Eve. It was the 1st surgery. God Almighty used Adam’s rib. (Papa was missing 1 more rib than usual.) Animals couldn’t communicate with Adam. Eve wasn’t of head to trample on or of foot to be trampled on, but of side to be beside. Genesis 2:23 (New International Version)
A woman has my rib, but I don’t really care. Better yet, I could care less!
23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman, [a] '
for she was taken out of man."

God Almighty used bone and that’s where white cells and red cells are created. In the morrow. Everything has a purpose. I write myself a reminder to get Rocking the Rabbi tickets. (I Later learn it’s Rock and the Rabbi!) Joyce, at the desk, sends me to Ladonna in already begun sanctuary. I give her the money and leave then her husband catches me with a ticket. But that’s later. Man is made for woman and vice versa. I think of 181 and as much as I praise the Lord all day everyday I decide that’s why I was created. I read about Joseph in the well, praising the Lord, and felt my calling then in 98.
Leviticus 18:27 (King James Version)

27(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
The land is the source of economy. The land curses you if you do it wrongly. It’ll see you and remember you defiled it and not yield to you.

So many people break apart for little problems nowadays. It’s difficult to stay united. Parents and close friends tear marriage apart. Spouse can be neglected.
I reach smallgroup evening room. Sunday. Praying for Papa. I'm very worried about his health. 17:56 waiting. Room empty. 17:59 remember dinner in gym. It’s reached. Not many people here. They talk about calling the 4th Sunday dinner off. Few come. I can't say I would have had I remembered. But that’d take a brain. Rock and the Rabbi will be in the place of it Mar 28. We pray for absent Carol and Cynthia. Carol decisions. Cynthia sick. Positive thinking is conceived. But that's easy not in their shoes. I know it closes alot of negative doors. But still. Children need attention. Ernestine says I can have the brownies nobody ate. That and the other sweets-- anything with sugar-- are my favorite desserts! I tell Ernestine she’s going to make me fat. Ernestine tells the speakers she has planned. Pray for our teachers, please. Don’t pray for numbers but steadfastness. That's a new idea for me. I'm numbers oriented. Offering volunteered. After I check my wallet and see it empty, I ask Tom if he pick pocketed me. He’s new, so he doesn’t know how to take me. Dotty collects the money. Dick isn’t here. Like my money. Trina prays for Marlo. Marlo very thankful for the opportunity. She is urging people back on the strait path. The strait path is one of the very first sermons I heard when I got back in church age 19. Ask God Almighty to stay with you. Have a real relationship. Trust God Almighty wholly. This verse was in a smallgroup I used to frequent about 4 years ago.
Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version)

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
To believe the promise you have to understand Jesus’ love better. You have to accept God Almighty’s love. Into The Heart of the Matter. Your response to trouble tells where your heart is. Find opportunity to witness. God Almighty prepares you for loss when you honor Him. Witness to everybody. Be compassionate. Be loyal to God Almighty. Trust God Almighty. Make sure God Almighty gets the glory. Your heart controls your perspective not your brain. Christians are always blaming the devil when they should glory God Almighty. It’s actually while God Almighty is trying to get their attention. Give God Almighty the glory and stop complaining. That glories the devil. You are a child of the Living God Almighty? Jesus gave you authority over the devil. Give God Almighty the glory. We are too quick to blame the devil. Job said, “I got what I feared most.” 1st and foremost glory God Almighty. I remember my buddy in my Promise Keeper’s group 15 years ago, saying h hammered his hand at work then praised the Lord and the pain went away. Count it all joy. When God Almighty starts dealing with us, it’s hard and we kick Him out. Instant delivery is very, very rare. Because you would learn nothing but be a brat. Be ready to move stuff. Wow, 4 years ago today my little 28m brother killed himself. Gulp! We blame stuff because of the way we are. Deaths in my life have put an unending ball of pain by my heart a decade.
Mark 7:15-23 (New International Version)

15Nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.' "[a]

17After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18"Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? 19For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")

20He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' 21For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.' "

External sources are already identifying with something in you. We base our decisions on emotions. Then brain agrees. That reminds me of the book I read on organs reading between the lines to tell your brain to give you intuition. Such as my dismissal of stimulus following 181 rejections. When you fear something, your heart pounds. That’s what tells your brain something is wrong. Fight or flight. Increasing blood flow to the body. Breathless. Heart controls emotions. People love sermons then it never penetrates. We feel like we have to share it with everybody. We have to make sure everything is in line with the Word. Get confirmation from God Almighty.
Matthew 13:21 (New International Version)

21But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.
Don’t be double minded.
Jeremiah 17:9 (New International Version)

9 The heart is deceitful above all things
and beyond cure.
Who can understand it?
Do you know your heart? Deceitful, dishonest, deceiving, fraudulent, untrustworthy, cunning, lying, devious, falsehearted, cheating, and faithless. Don’t let that in your heart.
Proverbs 12:15 (New International Version)

15 The way of a fool seems right to him,
but a wise man listens to advice.
How many times has a person in the wrong shut you off? No fruit. A fool is right in his own eyes.
James 3:5-10 (New International Version)

5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.
The heart has to give the tongue what it says.

Jeremiah 17:10

10 "I the LORD search the heart
and examine the mind,
to reward a man according to his conduct,
according to what his deeds deserve."
Good or bad you produce fruit.
Ezekiel 11:10 (New International Version)

10 You will fall by the sword, and I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
God Almighty wants to make an exchange with you. You have a choice. God Almighty won't override your free will. Moses said if You won't go with me, I don’t want to go. Read the Bible.
Hebrews 4:12 (New International Version)

12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
You don’t always need a feel good experience every time.
Psalm 19:11 (New International Version)

11 By them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
Read the Bible to hide it in your heart. Don’t dwell on shortcomings. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to your heart. Especially when you don’t feel good. Don’t go over the edge with anger. God Almighty’s fire is consuming and dross comes to the surface. Don’t pray for the fire of God Almighty or patience unless you really mean it. Likely you won't get what you want.
John 16:13 (New International Version)

13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
God Almighty wants complete Lordship. God Almighty doesn’t take the bandaid immediately off. After class, I tell Marlo she used that analogy because she’s a nurse and that’s what they like to do. I had hundreds. Or it seemed like it. It won't kill you. What don’t kill you makes you stronger. Don’t care about how people see you. Worry more about what God Almighty sees. Nathan pointed out David’s fault and he immediately repented like we should. When everything is said and done, it isn’t as bad as you thought it'd be. Praise and worship God Almighty for who he is.
Romans 2:4 (New International Version)

4Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
God Almighty’s kindness will lead you to repentance. Have an accountability partner. My old partner still holds me accountable. At least he did after years of not seeing him. You have to be acceptable of others and yourself. Do a heart check as often as possible. Don’t be offended by what is revealed to you. Ask God Almighty for help in talking to somebody who ruffles your feathers. Ask God Almighty for help when you want the last word. Guilt comes next. You should’ve stopped when God Almighty said. God Almighty wants you not talking to them sometimes so He can work on you. Make the choice. With God’s heart, your perspective changes the most. Emotions don’t move you. Surface doesn’t matter. You are compassionate. If anybody had the right to say anything, Jesus did. So should you? With God Almighty’s heart in you, you are like a tree planted by the living waters. Deep roots. You are not double minded. Don’t sit in the seat of the scornful or mockers. In God Almighty’s presence, there’s joy. Allow God Almighty to open your heart. Have surgery. Fill your heart with love. Love, love, share love. love, share love. love, share love. love, share love. love, share love. love, share love. Love those who hate you and they’ll get saved.

12And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

Papa was leader. He bought supplies, paid labor, taxes, fees, insurance, etc, and managed work ahead and present. Dad saw tons of money come in and he got a small portion. After he took over the business, he was AMAZED how little he got. That’s like our critiquing Barack. WE have no idea what he has to command. We know his choices need to be wholesome, but that’s all we know. Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you had faith you would see the glory of God? John 11:40 It gives me a great feeling to help people. That reminds me of a minister. That’s more than saying priest. Even a cleric or a preacher. It reminds me of how the world sees a nun or monk. I love the thoughts of being a monk when I think of the joy on the mission field. Everybody has an idea of the glory you feel out there, but nobody has a realistic notion of what it is unless they experience it. A holy man and a holy woman are more than just people who attend Jesus’ praise. Praise the Lord with sincerity and you’ll see Him become a part of your life. A minister gets a joy by looking after needs and caring for people because Jesus blesses you when you do that and you feel it. My neighbor was unloading groceries it looked like. I asked from my door if I could help. He said no, there isn’t much. But when they went on vacation months ago, I ran out upon their arrival and grabbed luggage without asking. They had no choice. I kept helping. I was tending to their need and it was feeling good. (Their daughter is 2 decades younger.) I was doing good like a nurse out of the bottom of my heart. When you wait on Jesus, you are a waiter and you are offering comfort. hundreds thousands words sermons from pew: myspace.com/michaeldeehouse in my blogs. I have so many friends on facebook it takes all day to read 1 page. Please pray anybody sharing my sermon blog is blessed. Please pray my Papa is blessed. He is getting old. 75m. For though the fig-tree has no flowers, and there is no fruit on the vine, and work on the olive comes to nothing, and the fields give no food; and the flock is cut off from its resting-place, and there is no herd in the cattle-house: Still, I will be glad in the Lord, my joy will be in the God of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:17-18 I updated my blog: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.ListAll&bID=527506582 Please pray for the books I write and submit. Please pray for anybody praying for that with you. What a great way to get blessed. Hundreds thousands words sermons from pew: myspace.com/michaeldeehouse in my blogs. Updating it felt good. I kept hearing bad stuff about Jimmy Carter. So I looked him up. Carter had many problems as president, but any serious conservative should respect several critical accomplishments. First, Carter deregulated the trucking and airline industries. Those were the beginning of the modern deregulation trend, and they remain today perhaps the most clearly successful examples of deregulation in the U.S. Second, Carter appointed Paul Volcker as chair of the Fed. Volcker was the key figure in taming inflation, and hence is due much of the credit for the prosperity of the 80s, once the Volcker-induced recession was over. Not to mention that a serious conservative should respect someone who served in the Navy for many years. Everybody has bad, but as a Christian it’s your job to see their good. Yes, my body no doubt grieves over the 181 women who have rejected me, but my spirit glees over the fact I can better serve Jesus like I am now. …. I DID it again! I slept 12 hours. Actually, reading and writing all day every day has done this. I’m reading a Spiritual Growth book where the preacher has been pushing himself beyond his limit to pull his back and go to the hospital for some well needed rest. After my little brother, 28m, committed suicide, Dad, Granny, Papa, lifelong family friend, best friend, 2 different neighbors 2 different ways, 1 old age and the other suicide, brother’s friend died, I got a depression and a chemistry imbalance. 181 rejections put a heart attack pain in my chest. Yes, I was depressed. But I got over them. So I was driven to sleep from reading and writing all day every day. I was trying to reach my biography writing especially. I put maybe some duplicated files on hundreds thousands words sermons from pew: myspace.com/michaeldeehouse in my blogs because some of the files at the top push some out of the bottom. Please pray for the publishers with my books to decide current happenings mean the plots are the best thing for the current moment, most excellent object the present instant, top article the existing second, finest item the in progress minute, and greatest entity the recent up to jiffy split second. They’re at publishers, waiting. You can say I'm not good enough right now. But remember I studied writing a decade and learned your style may lack right now but be perfect years later. Trends are always changing things. Paula Abdul used to be very radical. But “Get up now, tell me now, are you going to love me forever” isn’t what it used to be. MY uncle’s temporal wife loved her. That was before he got the original wife back. I knew the whole time that would happen. And the Lord your God is to be loved with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5 Dad dying, Granny dying, Papa dying, brother dying, uncle dying, best friend dying, neighbor dying, family friend all my life
dying, need imaginable, other family friend dying, some of Dad’s friends
dying, 2 childhood bus drivers dying, etc. This is on my mind and
along with the 181 rejections a big reason stimulus left my body. It felt like it put a ball in my chest that hurt. And I used to always be tired because of it. But I eventually got out of it. Since I don’t want to stop my reading and writing all day everyday, my body compromises. Then the 181 and its effect on my chemicals I felt and saw had an effect that was underlined. The Lord is gracious and compassionate; slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. Psalm 145:8,9 (NIV) The way I got in the church like I did is I feel a greater need for it. I saw how fake the world’s love is. It was after all trusted people lying to me that broke me down. I was 16 and I was weak. It takes strength and courage to get over the mountain. Genesis 17:1 The Covenant of Circumcision 1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, "I am God Almighty [a] ; walk before me and be blameless. [-] When God makes a covenant with you, you have to keep your part for everything to work out. The world sees Jesus unfair because the world can't keep its side of the covenant. Genesis 17:4-7 4 "As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram [a] ; your name will be Abraham, [b] for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.
[-] Do what you can to be tempted less by the world. That makes it easier to serve the Lord. And that’s where joy is. Christians are always laughing because they’re always serving the Lord. Why is Christianity so minor? It gives you the most happiness. Miserable people want to be miserable. So they look down on Christianity. [-] God will make you powerful. You gain authority the more practice you have with prayer. I started praying the year I learned to talk, 2, so I have a lot of proven experience with prayer. Faith in Jesus gives you control like nothing else. You’ll see you are a bigger influence than you thought you were. Christians have supremacy for that reason. The world is disillusioned. After things happen, they see Christians had the rule the whole time. I was reading a Bible at the lake. Left over from the previous owner. I saw Dad looking covetously at me out of the corner of my eyes. The world had command over Dad and wouldn’t let him go to church. He just like my brother wanted to go to church. That was so till their suicide 1.16.99 and 2.287.06. If you are saved, your clout is invisible but very big. I like what a man said. I don’t care how much money I make, but what store do I go to get my brother back?” The brother was little and killed in a car wreck. That reminds me of the pain felt since my little 28m brother killed himself in 2006. What store do I go to get my little brother? It took the loss of so many people close to me to show me what is important. My buddy got a decade in jail and then got out in a decade. It didn’t seem like that to him. I had a prophecy of his returning as I was writing, ministering him another term. So I often told him I won't be writing him like this any other terms. So the decade went without a note from me.

If you have a weak spot that’s getting worn down, pray about it and see it that you don’t allow that weak spot to be tried. I said that because in AA, I learned don’t go around or mention alcohol. Or whatever. When you see the poverty of Ecuador, you feel a collapse in your heart. When I was about 13, my best friend said he had an addictive personality because his dad died an alcoholic. I said I did too because mine was an alcoholic. The friend moved and got addicted to crack then started going to jail a lot. He was serving long terms. I don’t know how h is at the time. Addiction or not we are still in much need of Jesus. We are like sheep. They’re hard of seeing, don’t swim because of their coats, scared of running water, and they depend fully on the shepherd because they’re so helpless. We should depend on the Shepherd because we are like sheep without Him. God prepares a table for us before our enemies. I read about a pool hall opening and^ a dad vigilantly coming against it because he didn’t want his children in a pool hall. The similarity was God preparing our table before our enemies. That’s like the shepherd in Spring killing the prickly plants that pierce the sheep’s nose and the plants that poison them.

My papa’s nephew turning into the church speaker was happy news to me. When I was going to the lake every weekend, he was too. Then learning he started church years after we quit the lake was a joy. That family was from Atlanta and Papa’s brother’s children. When they came to the lake, they stayed in tents. The nephew (in-law) who became a church speaker used to be a policeman. His niece got slapped by her bf at the lake and that was bad news. The nephew was wrestling him and his wife had him by the neck, pulling a small tree. Full weekend for sure. I had just worked out. Praise Jesus for His timing! Bless Jesus! Bless Jesus! Bless Jesus! Bless Jesus! I just worked out. My heart was pounding and endorphins were flowing through my body! Endorphins are incomparably sensational, excellently amazing, unbeatably astounding, very marvelous,
matchlessly exciting, outstandingly thrilling, exceptionally breathtaking, consummately out of this world, and supremely magnificent!!! Needless to say I was feeling very, very good. Then bad news came. . I can't go on the Checz missions. I was in a very good mood. I had just sent an email to Barack that women in the navy will distract the men. Then the phone rang. Hello? It was Cindy that I can't go on the mission. All women, 2 on our team, are going. Will it be as cold as Ecuador? I was hoping no. I remember my chemicals and the cold in Ecuador. Over a hundred women had rejected me, so you know that didn’t help my chemicals either. Sadly, I can't go on missions. It’s funny. I want to get mad. But I feel too good w the unbeatable endorphins. I don’t know how I feel. My heart is broken because I've been looking forward to it. When I put a lot of trust in people I believe in, I get hurt. So there was part of me being safe. Bless Jesus! After I was promised a vehicle for making good grades, enduring tons of ridicule, then told it was a dream, overwhelmed with homework in gifted, above level classes, college credit classes, I got dubious of everybody. When I took my license3 test, I could not pass it because a supervisor was hitting the brake every time I did. He had his own. That was a testimony to me about how I shouldn’t be so doubtful. A killer whale just killed a trainer. It sounds like he was too trustworthy of the wrong thing. I didn’t like the disappointing news about the mission. But I'm more interested in what Jesus is saying to me. It may not be now. We will see what is to come. Yesterday or day before, I saw my neighbor unloading groceries. He said they were almost through, no thanks. Then I thought of my voluntary service. I remembered the good feeling I got. It helped me forget my broken spirit. But after I left them, I felt like I was abandoning them. When the school bully and I were wrestling at Zack’s house, I kept thinking of my placement. My Senior year. I was in a very strange place. I was wrestling him to show him he wasn’t as bad as he thought. But it was at Zack’s house. Zack would later win Most Likely To Succeed and 8 years earlier he was in a movie with Michael Jesus Fox. When that happened, it was my first year in a public school. My 1st year to meet black people and find I love them. And there I was wrestling the school bully of all people. It was a tie. But we were playing. So no real determination existed.
I JUST got to church. I’ve been thinking of the book I’m working on. I’m going to turn it into a mystery after I finish it. I’m praying about my books at publishing houses. I need your prayer. Perfect editors, headlines, plotting, and circumstances. The musicians are getting ready. And they’re talking. I lay my life down at God Almighty’s feet. Mike has a great ear and bring band leader is deserving of him. He’d deserve higher position if possible in the band. Later I’ll say something to him in that manner. Caleb walks by and is on the platform. Is that his name? Caleb? I call to him for no response. I guess not. Then when he walks by we talk. I tell him after 181 rejections, I’m obviously used to going unheard. We decide being single is best. I want to try out for choir tonight. Please pray for it to well. Audition night is tonight. God Almighty is all I need. I pray for audition. 2.25 hours away. The lights go off then on. 1 set. I turn to God Almighty. God Almighty is always there. G minor then C, D I hear Danielle say. Johanna says she saw me at Renaissance Festival. I tell her I was looking for a church member. I REALLY felt 1 near. But I never saw her. Mike updates musicians with needs. Details. What is expected. What they need to improve on and what they’re doing well. Chu begins. It’s God Almighty I seek. 1 way, Jesus, the only one I can live for! 1 way, Jesus, the only one I can live for! 1 way, Jesus, the only one I can live for! 1 way, Jesus, the only one I can live for! 1 way, Jesus, the only one I can live for! God Almighty is Defender of the weak. God Almighty comforts those in need. Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. A church member starts screaming praise and no doubt Jesus is enjoying that. The moiré you praise the Lord, the more the Lord likes it. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear evil. I was just reading about the valley of death before I got here to church. It was a very narrow area where the clumsy helpless sheep, all of them, would fall to their death without the shepherd. Holy is the Lord God Almighty. With the Lord God Almighty with me whom shall I fear? There will be An end to these troubles and until then I will praise the Lord. Somebody hollers ors for God Almighty and I feel God Almighty draw nearer. Through the calm and through the storm God Almighty the Lord never lets go of me. Hallelujah for the Lord God Almighty reigns. Hallelujah for the Lord God Almighty Hallelujah for the Lord God Almighty. Praise the Lord William got as job driving a truck. You know that was a blessing in our economy. I ask him to pray for my books at publishers. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty is holy. King of kings Lord of lords. It is God Almighty only I worship. I see Pastor Anthony 19:25 coming down the stairs by the baptismal. My pen just went out Praise the Lord I have another 1 in my pocket! I pray for Karen.
Ezekiel 22:30
30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
Bless Jesus.
It’s 198:30 when I learn 12+ are needed in the choir. April 4 is our Easter service. Have Easter at Abundant Life. Don’t go anywhere. Bring friends. Reminders OF THE Covenant. Planting of tree.
Genesis 21 (King James Version)

Genesis 21

1And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

2For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

3And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.

4And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.

5And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.

6And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

7And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

8And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.

9And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

10Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

11And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.

12And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

13And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.

14And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

15And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.

16And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

17And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

18Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

19And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

20And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

21And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

22And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

23Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

24And Abraham said, I will swear.

25And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

26And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing; neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

27And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

28And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.

29And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

30And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

31Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.

32Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.

33And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.

34And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.
Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge. They were kicked out to not eat of the tree of Life. If you eat of the tree of knowledge, everything is right and wrong. We need new covenant to wipe our sins away. Walk in tolerance, peace, and life. Don’t call yourself an everyday sinner. Get out of the garden and come up to life. Calvary made it possible. Stones like mountains are long lasting.
Genesis 28:18-22
18And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

20And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

21So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:

22And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Stones were reminders. If you are connected to God Almighty, you want to make Him happy.
Gen 31:43-44
Age gives you feeling for monuments. I helped Dad as a very little boy build his house out of a 100 year old motel. The home had 8 foot ceilings in the den. Dad died and it was sold. That felt like such a total loss. A preacher had a son killed and built a monument for him at his church. When he sold the church, he removed the monument because people wouldn’t appreciate it like him. Walking on a grave means you are walking on somebody’s family member’s grave. Genesis 29 (King James Version)

Genesis 29

1Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.

2And he looked, and behold a well in the field, and, lo, there were three flocks of sheep lying by it; for out of that well they watered the flocks: and a great stone was upon the well's mouth.

3And thither were all the flocks gathered: and they rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the sheep, and put the stone again upon the well's mouth in his place.

4And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of Haran are we.

5And he said unto them, Know ye Laban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.

6And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.

7And he said, Lo, it is yet high day, neither is it time that the cattle should be gathered together: water ye the sheep, and go and feed them.

8And they said, We cannot, until all the flocks be gathered together, and till they roll the stone from the well's mouth; then we water the sheep.

9And while he yet spake with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep; for she kept them.

10And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.

11And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.

12And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father.

13And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.

14And Laban said to him, Surely thou art my bone and my flesh. And he abode with him the space of a month.

15And Laban said unto Jacob, Because thou art my brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me, what shall thy wages be?

16And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel.

17Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.

18And Jacob loved Rachel; and said, I will serve thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.

19And Laban said, It is better that I give her to thee, than that I should give her to another man: abide with me.

20And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.

21And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.

22And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.

23And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.

24And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.

25And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this thou hast done unto me? did not I serve with thee for Rachel? wherefore then hast thou beguiled me?

26And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.

27Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.

28And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.

29And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.

30And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

31And when the LORD saw that Leah was hated, he opened her womb: but Rachel was barren.

32And Leah conceived, and bare a son, and she called his name Reuben: for she said, Surely the LORD hath looked upon my affliction; now therefore my husband will love me.

33And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Because the LORD hath heard I was hated, he hath therefore given me this son also: and she called his name Simeon.

34And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.

35And she conceived again, and bare a son: and she said, Now will I praise the LORD: therefore she called his name Judah; and left bearing.
Joshua 4:6-7 (King James Version)

6That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

7Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
12 Stones Church is a church representing monuments in God Almighty’s name.

Joshua 24:26-27
26And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.

27And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.

Stone of Warning. Don’t dog Catholics for their statues. Those are reminders of God Almighty’s covenants, etc. wedding rings are symbols for covenant. I look at the ring I wear. It belonged to Dad. Husband better not take wedding ring off. God Almighty is a stone.
Genesis 49:24
24But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
Daniel 2:34-35
34Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

35Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
Matthew 21:42
42Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
Ephesians 2:19-22 (King James Version)

19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

1 Peter 2:6 (New American Standard Bible)

6For this is contained in Scripture:
"(A)BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A (B)PRECIOUS CORNER stone,
AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."

Joshua 8:33-34 (King James Version)

33And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.

34And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.
Monuments remind us of blessings and coursings. The power of the reminder.
Hebrews 12:18-22 (King James Version)

18For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

19And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

20(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

21And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
ADAM IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

(Evolutionary Interpretation): NOTE: It ought to be superfluous to say that the unfolding or development of the human personality here identified with evolution is something far higher, deeper, and other than anything that can be fathered upon Darwin or Herbert Spencer. Evolution (unfolding) is the great process or movement; natural selection and survival of the fittest name only guesses at some of its methods. 'adham, "man," Genesis 1:26, or "a man," Genesis 2:5; ha-'adham, "the man"; mostly with the article as a generic term, and not used as the proper name of a patriarch until 5:3, after which the name first given to both man and woman (5:2) is used of the man alone: The being in whom is embodied the Scripture idea of the first created man and ancestor of mankind. The account, which belongs mostly to the oldest stratum of the Genesis story (Jahwist) merits careful attention, because evolutionary science, history, and new theology have all quarreled with or rejected it on various grounds, without providing the smallest approach to a satisfactory substitute.
Fear and trembling.
The Biblical Mount Sinai (Hebrew: הר סיני, Har Sinai) is an ambiguously located mountain at which the Hebrew Bible states that the Ten Commandments were given to Moses by God.[1] In certain biblical passages these events are described as having transpired at Horeb. Sinai and Horeb are generally considered to refer to the same place although there is a small body of opinion that they refer to different locations.[2]

Passages prior to the Israelite encounter with Sinai indicate that the ground of the mountain was considered holy,[3] but according to the rule of Ein mukdam u'meuchar baTorah (אין מוקדם ומאוחר בתורה) -- "[There is] not 'earlier' and 'later' in [the] Torah," that is, the Torah is not authored in a chronological fashion, classical biblical commentators regard this as insignificant.[4] Some modern-day scholars, however, who do not recognize the authority of the Oral Law, explain it as having been a sacred place dedicated to one of the Semitic deities, long before the Israelites encountered it.[5] Some modern biblical scholars regard these laws to have originated in different time periods from one another, with the later ones mainly being the result of natural evolution over the centuries of the earlier ones, rather than all originating from a single moment in time.[2][6]

In Classical rabbinical literature, Mount Sinai became synonymous with holiness;[7] indeed, it was said that when the Messiah arrives, God will bring Sinai together with Mount Carmel and Mount Tabor, rebuild the Temple upon the combined mountain, and the peaks would sing a chorus of praise to God.[8]
Exodus 1-12

God Remembers His Covenant with His Chosen Nation--Israel in Egypt; Moses, God's Liberator.

Chapter 1 - The scene is set

Nearly 300 years have elapsed since the death of Joseph, and the end of Genesis. Jacob's people have been in Egypt some 370 years. Their old privileged status is now gone. Now they are a slave nation under a new pharaoh, of a dynasty which has long forgotten Egypt's debt to Joseph.

Things have changed in Egypt. The power of the Hyksos pharaohs have been broken and the Upper and Lower kingdoms once again united. The ration is at the height of her military power, ruled from Thebes and Memphis by a new dynasty of pharaohs. But with the accession of Sethos I (the "new king" of 1:8) attention once again focuses on the fertile delta region. A great building program is begun, including a new residence for Pharaoh. It is named after Sethos' successor, Ramesses II. There is a large, ready-made, economic labor force resident in the area-the Israelites.

The existence of such a large (12:37) alien group in his borderlands has for some time made Pharaoh uneasy. Here is his chance to ensure they keep out of mischief. The people are organized into gangs, under taskmasters, to dig out mud and make the bricks for building the new cities.

But no matter how hard they are worked, the population explosion continues. Pharaoh decides to tackle the problem in more direct ways only to be defeated by the midwives' faith (vv.15-22).

Chapter 2 - Moses, prince and refugee

So now all Hebrew boy-babies are to be cast into the Nile. That is Pharaoh's decree. But the water which drowns can also be used to float a watertight basket (the same Hebrew word as Noah's "ark") and Moses' life is saved by his mother's resourceful action.

Moses was 40 when he tried to strike his first blow for freedom (2:11-12) which ended in disaster. A further 40 years passed before the events of chapter 3. (cf. Acts 7:23 and Exodus 7:7)

-Pharaoh's daughter - She would probably be a daughter by one of his concubines, not a princess of blood-roya1. She would have taken Moses back to the harem where he would be brought up with others, learning to read and write the Egyptian hieroglyphic and "cursive" scripts and gaining expertise in various skills and sports (Acts 7:22). It was not unknown for foreigners to be brought up in this way, and trained for responsible posts in the army, priesthood, or civil service.

Midian (vs.15): The Midianites were descendants or Abraham through his second wife, Keturah. They were desert-dwellers, so Moses could scarcely have had better preparation for the wilderness journeys with Israel than these years of nomadic life.

Chapters 3 & 4 - The burning bush; God calls and equips His man

Moses is actually at Sinai (Horeb) the very place where he will later receive the Law, when God's call comes. God has a stupendous commission for Moses-he is to be God's messenger to Pharaoh, and lead his people to freedom-but the missionary is most reluctant. He raises one objection after another, and each is countered by another promise from God...

3:11 "I am not up to the job." But I will be with you says God.

3:13 "How am I to explain to people who you are?" God reveals himself as the God of their ancestors, and the God of the present: "I AM."

4:1 "The people won't believe me!" God gives him three sings with which to convince them.

4:10 "I am no speaker!" God made him; he will enable him to speak.

4:13 "Please send someone else!" This God will not do, but he will allow him Aaron as spokesman.

Key events and places of these chapters...

1. Mt. Horeb (3:1) The precise location is uncertain, but long tradition indicates and identifies it with Jebel Musa (7,363 feet) at the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula.

2. The spoil from Egypt (3:21ff) Cf. 11:2-3; 12:35-36. It was from this that the tabernacle was furnished.

3. Pharaoh's death is recorded in 4:19

4. Aaron (4:14) Three years older than Moses (7:7) presumably born before Pharaoh's edict. Miriam would have been older than both.

5. Circumcision (4:24-26) Moses failed to circumcise his son – and God can not overlook disobedience, even in one of his chosen. Zipporah puts the matter right and Moses' life is spared.

Chapters 5-6:13 - The first round goes to Pharaoh!

The first request to Pharaoh merely aggravates the situation. People turn against their "deliverer." Moses in his frustration turns once again to God...

1. The request (5:1) This seems less than the whole truth: but it is in the nature of a test-case. Israel had to leave Egypt in order to sacrifice because the nature of their sacrifice was offensive to the Egyptians (8:26). Pharaoh's reaction reveals his implacable hostility already predicted by God. (3:19)

2. Access to Pharaoh: Ramesses II is known to have made himself available even to ordinary petitioners (cf.5:15ff). Moses, brought up in the harem, had a special claim to Pharaoh's attention.

Chapter 6:14-27 - The family tree of Moses and Aaron

As so often in Scripture, the list is selective. Moses and Aaron are shown to have descended from Jacob through the line of Levi. The list covers the period of Israel's stay in Egypt.

Chapters 6:28-10:29 - The contest with Pharaoh; the nine plagues

Pharaoh has heard and rejected Moses' request. He has shown the sort of man he is: "Who is the Lord...? I do not know the Lord and moreover I will not let Israel go!" (5:2)

Now God begins a series of judgments to teach Pharaoh and his people who the Lord is, and to show them the extent of his power over all creation (7:5; 8:10; 9:14). Nine times God acts, and Pharaoh, his magicians and all the gods of Egypt are powerless to reverse his judgments. The magicians may counterfeit, but they cannot countermand.

1. The Nile - heart of the nation's economy and worship - turns to blood, its polluted waters killing the fish (7:14-24)

2. Seven days later, frogs, driven from the river banks by the rotting fish, seek shelter in the houses (7:25-8:15)

3 & 4. First gnats and then flies, breeding amongst the carcasses of fish and frogs, plague the land. (8:16-92)

5 & 6. Disease strikes the cattle, and skin infection breaks out on man and beast, carried by the frogs and insects (9:1-12)

7. Hail and thunderstorms ruin the flax and barley crops - but not wheat and spelt, which have not yet grown. And those Egyptians who take note of God's warning remain safe (9:13-35)

8. The wind blows in a plague of locusts from Ethiopia which strip the country bare of greenstuff (10:1-20)

9. For three days the light of the sun is blotted out by thick darkness. This was probably a khamsin dust storm. (10:21-29)

The plagues probably occurred over a period of about a year. In each case God chose to use natural disorders to confound Pharaoh and the gods of Egypt (12:12). He caused the "nile god" to bring ruin, not prosperity, the frogs to bring disease instead of fruitfulness; and the power of Re, the sun-god, was blotted out.

The whole sequence of events follows a logical pattern which could have started with unusually high flooding of the Nile River, bringing down red earth and microcosms which polluted the water. But, however it happened, this was no mere "chance" - God was demonstrating his absolute control!

Here God distinguished between his people and the Egyptians. He controlled the extent and the areas affected by each plague. He announced the timing of each, and could call a halt at any time in answer to prayer. We must see the hand of God in this for in no other time have so many plagues come upon a land in such a short period of time.

The hardness of Pharaoh's heart: Several times in these chapters God is said to have hardened Pharaoh's heart and made him obstinate (4:21; 10:1; 20, 27). But this was not done against Pharaoh's will. Rather, where God could have softened Pharaoh's heart (as he did Paul's ) he simply let him be. God gave him up (cf.Rom.1; 9:17), let him be what he himself wanted, let him have his own way-so that in the end, God's power would be plain for all to see.

Chapters 11-12:36 - The death of the firstborn, and the Passover

Preliminaries are over, God's warning of 4:22-23 is about to be realized. This is the end of the road for Pharaoh and his people. But for Israel it is the beginning. This is a day to remember down the ages; when God dealt death to the first-born of Egypt, but spared the people who were His own.

A new feast is instituted, and a new (religious) year begun. The Passover lamb or kid speaks of God's protection and provision for his people – Israel, His firstborn. The bitter herbs remind them of all their suffering in Egypt. The flat unleavened bread recalls the haste of their departure (no time to use yeast and wait for the bread to rise). Even so, they do not go empty handed. The years of slavery are in some measure paid for by the clothes and jewelry heaped upon them by the Egyptians, now only too anxious to see them go.

10And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.

11And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
Jesus’ blood also speaks.
Numbers 34:9-35 (King James Version)

9And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.

10And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:

11And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:

12And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.

13And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

14For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

15The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

16And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

17These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

18And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.

19And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

20And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

21Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

22And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.

23The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

25And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

26And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

27And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

28And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

29These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
In the Priestly Code

In the Priestly Code, the regulations concerning the cities of refuge state that, once they have claimed asylum, a perpetrator had to be taken from the city and put on trial[2]; if the trial found that the perpetrator was innocent of murder, then the perpetrator had to be returned under guard (for their own protection) to the city in which they had claimed asylum[3]. This law code treats blood money as an unacceptable device that would compound the crime, insisting that atonement can only be made by blood[4].

The Priestly Code states that no harm was allowed to come to the perpetrator once the Jewish high priest had died, at which point the perpetrator was free to leave the city without fear[3][5]; the Mishnah states that the high priest's mother would traditionally supply clothing and food to those claiming asylum in the cities of refuge, so that these individuals would not wish for the death of her son[6]. The Talmud argues that the death of the high priest formed an atonement[7], as the death of pious individuals counted as an atonement[8], and, in its view, the high priest was extremely pious[9]; Maimonides argued that the death of the high priest was simply an event so upsetting to the Israelites that they dropped all thoughts of vengeance[10].
[edit] In the Deuteronomic Code

The Deuteronomic Code presents the regulations in a different manner and, rather than describing the perpetrator being put on trial, merely states that if the perpetrator is guilty of murder, the elders of the town in which the crime was committed should demand the perpetrator's return and hand him over without pity to the avenger of blood to be killed[11]. The Deuteronomic Code does not give any role to the high priest or mention the terms on which the perpetrator could return home, but does state that roads should be built to the cities of refuge to ease the escape of the perpetrator to them[12]; the Talmud states that, in accordance with the requirement to especially build roads to the cities of refuge, the roads to these cities were not only marked by signposts saying "Refuge", but the roads were 32 ells wide—twice the regulation width—and were particularly smooth and even, in order that fugitives were as unhindered as possible[9].

A chapter in the Book of Joshua also reiterates the regulations for the cities of refuge, adding that when a perpetrator arrives at the city, he had to disclose to the city elders about the events that had occurred, after which they had to find him a place to live within the city[13]. Textual scholars regard the chapter as being an insertion by the deuteronomist[14], and, even in the Talmud, it is argued that the chapter had been moved and was originally part of the Torah as an aspect of the Deuteronomic Code[6][15]; though the masoretic text for this chapter includes a role for the death of the high priest, the Septuagint's version of the chapter does not mention it[14].
[edit] Origin and development

In many ancient cultures, the inviolability of deities was considered to extend to their religious sanctuaries and all that resided within, whether criminals, debtors, escaped slaves, priests, ordinary people, or, in some cases, passing cattle; biblical scholars suspect that Israelite culture was originally no different[15][16][17]. In general, the area covered by these rights of sanctuary varied from a small area around the altar or other centrepiece to a large area beyond the limits of the town containing the sanctuary (the limits often being marked in some way), depending on the significance of the deity and the importance of the sanctuary[18]; it was considered a greater crime to drag an individual from the sanctuary or to kill them there than it was to defile the sanctuary itself[19].

Biblical scholars perceive this simple right of asylum at sanctuaries as being presented by the Covenant Code[20], which textual scholars attribute to the 8th century BC[9][21]. Biblical scholars also believe that this right was the context underlying the account in the Books of Kings of Joab and Adonijah each fleeing from Solomon to an altar, with their opponents being unwilling to attack them while they remained there[22][23]; textual scholars regard these passages as being part of the Court History of David[24], which they date to the 9th century BC[25], or earlier[26]. The context underlying the account in the Books of Kings of Joab also brings to mind what I was recently told. They were making out like Christian marriages don’t grumble. If that’s true, why does the church divorce more than The world? Yes, I grumble about 181 rejections and the feelings that made my chemicals flow backwards, but I indeed see the perspective God Almighty is giving me! It’s needed for my destiny! Rejections also turn me off.

Over time, these general rights of asylum were gradually curtailed, as some sanctuaries had become notorious hotbeds of crime; in Athens, for example, the regulations were changed so that slaves were only permitted to escape to the sanctuary of the temple of Theseus[15]. This is considered by scholars to be the reason that, in Israelite culture, the rights were restricted to just six locations by the time the Priestly Code was compiled—the late 7th century according to textual scholars[27]—and it is thus regarded by biblical scholars as being no coincidence that the three cities of refuge to the west of the Jordan were also important ancient religious sanctuaries[28]; little is known about the cities of refuge to the east of the Jordan (as of 1901), but scholars consider it reasonable to assume that they were once also important sanctuaries[9][29].

The Deuteronomic Code is regarded by textual scholars as dating from the reign of Josiah[30], which postdates the fall of the Kingdom of Israel to the Assyrians; this is considered to be the reason that only three (unnamed) cities of refuge are mentioned in the Deuteronomic Code[31], with a further three only being added if the Israelite territory was expanded[32], as by the time of Josiah's reign, the cities east of the Jordan were no longer controlled by the Israelites. The lack of importance given by the Deuteronomic Code to the identity of the cities of refuge is considered by scholars to be an attempt to continue the right of asylum, even though the sanctuaries (apart from the Temple in Jerusalem) had been abolished by Josiah's reforms[15][17][33].

1 Peter 4:12-19
Suffering for Being a Christian
12Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18And,
"If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"[a]

19So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Jonah 2
Jonah's Prayer
1 From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God. 2 He said:
"In my distress I called to the LORD,
and he answered me.
From the depths of the grave [a] I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.

3 You hurled me into the deep,
into the very heart of the seas,
and the currents swirled about me;
all your waves and breakers
swept over me.

4 I said, 'I have been banished
from your sight;
yet I will look again
toward your holy temple.'

5 The engulfing waters threatened me, [b]
the deep surrounded me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.

6 To the roots of the mountains I sank down;
the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you brought my life up from the pit,
O LORD my God.

7 "When my life was ebbing away,
I remembered you, LORD,
and my prayer rose to you,
to your holy temple.

8 "Those who cling to worthless idols
forfeit the grace that could be theirs.

9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
Salvation comes from the LORD."

10 And the LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.
Psalm 34
Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left.
1 [a] I will extol the LORD at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.

2 My soul will boast in the LORD;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

3 Glorify the LORD with me;
let us exalt his name together.

Luke 9:57-62
The Cost of Following Jesus
57As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, "I will follow you wherever you go."

58Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

59He said to another man, "Follow me."
But the man replied, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father."

The Cost of Being a Disciple
25Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: 26"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. 27And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

Acrostic
Form of poetry in which the first letters of the stanzas follow an order, either of the alphabet or the spelling of a name (see, e.g., Ps 25).
Aggada
(Heb.) Narrative midrash, a non-canonical rabbinic tale on a biblical theme.
Allegory
Reading of Scripture that substitutes abstractions for the literal referents. (In Hebrew the equivalent term is remez, "hint.")
Anagogy
Or "mystical meaning." Reading of Scripture that construes it as referring to a world to come. (In Hebrew the equivalent term is sod, "secret.")
Androcentrism
Feminist term for cultural systems and structures organized from a male point of view and assumed to be "natural," because its source in male power and authority is concealed.
Antisemitism
Hatred of the Jews. The term was coined in 1879 by the Austrian journalist Wilhelm Marr to elevate hatred into doctrine.
Apocrypha
(Gr., "hidden things.") A collection of writings, mostly from the end of the biblical period, excluded from the Jewish canon but accepted as Scripture by the early Church.
Apodictic law
According to scholars, one of the two types of biblical law. (The other type is casuistic law). Apodictic laws tend to use the I-You form as in the familiar "you shall" and "you shall not" (see Exod 23.20; Lev 19.17–18). The distinction was first introduced by Albrecht Alt, for whom cauistic law is secular, while apodictic is sacral (see "The Origins of Israelite Law" in Essays on Old Testament Religion [Garden City: Doubleday, 1968], pp. 101-71).
Aramaic
Semitic language related to Hebrew—much as French or Italian is related to Latin—and spoken widely throughout the ancient Near East from the eighth century B.C.E.
Canon
(Gr., "measuring rod.") Normative collection of Scripture, held to be revealed by God and serving as the basis of religious authority. Among Jews, Catholics, and Protestants, the canons differ in books included and in order.
Casuistic law
According to scholars, one of the two types of biblical law. (The other type is apodictic law.) Casuistic laws specify a case—hence their name—and are framed in the conditional if-then or when-then mode (see Exod 21.18–19).
Covenant formulary
The sequence of steps by which a suzerainty treaty is formulated. There are six: (1) the preamble or titulary, in which the suzerain identifies himself; (2) the historical prologue or antecedent, in which the past relationship between the parties is spelled out; (3) the stipulations, the specific demands which are placed upon the vassal in order to secure his fidelity; (4) the deposition, stating where the text is to be deposited (e.g. a temple) and how it is to be attested (e.g. periodically recited); (5) the list of witnesses, the gods before whom the oath is sworn; and (6) blessings and curses, promising what will befall the vassal if he keeps (or breaks) the treaty.
Cult
(Lat., cultus.) System of forms and ceremonies used in worship.
Derash
(Heb.) Applied meaning; homily.
Deuteronomic history
Also called the D strand. Scholarly hypothesis, first proposed by Martin Noth (1943), that the books of Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings make up a single historical work written by the same person or group of persons during the Babylonian exile. On this hypothesis, Deut 1–3 or 4 constitute the introduction to the historical work, while Deut 5–7 introduce the Deuteronomic law.
Documentary hypothesis
Scholarly argument disputing the traditional claim that the Pentateuch was authored by Moses and holding instead that it was originally composed as at least four separate documents and later redacted (Lat., "reduced to order"). The four documentary strands are labeled J for its use of the tetragrammaton Yhvh (spelled with a J in German); E for its use of Elohim; P for the priestly literature; and D for the Deuteronomic history.
Exegesis
(Gr.) Exposition of a biblical passage.
Fourfold interpretation
Form of medieval interpretation, which posits that the biblical text consists of "levels" of meaning—peshat or literal sense, remez ("hint") or allegory, derash or homily, and sod ("secret") or anagogy. In Jewish mystical tradition, these are reduced to a mnemonic—PaRDeS, Hebrew for "paradise."
Gender
Originally a grammatical term; adapted by feminist critics and scholars to distinguish socially constructed traits and values from sex (in the biological sense of reproduction and differentiation).
Gnosticism
(Gr., gnosis, "secret knowledge.") Religious movement of the second century C.E. emphasizing the redemptive power of esoteric knowledge, which is said to be acquired neither by learning nor experience but by direct revelation from God. The Christian church—its doctrine, symbols, canon, structure, and authority—developed largely in reaction to Gnosticism. See Hans Jonas, The Gnostic Religion: The Message of the Alien God and the Beginnings of Christianity.
Hermeneutics
Study of the principles of biblical interpretation.
Hermeneutics of suspicion
Term coined in the 1970s by the French philosopher Paul Ricoeur for a method of interpretation which assumes that the literal or surface-level meaning of a text (including the Bible) is an effort to conceal the political interests which are served by the text. The purpose of interpretation is to strip off the concealment, unmasking those interests.
Homily
Same as derash. Reading of Scripture that applies it to current moral concerns.
King James Version
Abbreviated KJV. Also known as the Authorized Version. English translation of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures authorized by Britain’s King James I in 1604 and completed by six companies of 47 translators in 1611.
Liberation theology
Christian movement founded in the early 1970s by Peruvian theologian Gustavo Gutierrez. Holding that the church must be the agent of liberation—political, economic, social, sexual, racial—it emphasizes the religious needs of the poor, oppressed, and marginalized.
Marcionite heresy
The Gnostic view, dating from the second century C.E., that the God of the "Old Testament," a god of anger and justice, is distinguishable from the loving and merciful God of the "New." According to this view, the true God resists human knowledge and bears no relation at all to the created universe. He sent his son Jesus Christ to redeem humanity from the material world and lead it to a new home. And since "Christ redeemed us" (Gal 3.13), his death was not, as in orthodox theology, an atonement for sin, but rather a legal action which nullified the "old covenant" and cancelled the creator god’s claims upon humanity. Thus any effort to integrate the Jewish with the Christian bible is doomed to frustration. Declared a heresy by the Roman Church in 144, the view is still widely—if vulgarly—held.
Masoretic text
Text of the Hebrew Scriptures standardized around 100 C.E. and preserved and handed down by the Jews ever since. The name derives from the Masoretes, a medieval school of Jewish biblical scholars who regularized transmission of the text by developing a sophisticated system of annotation and punctuation.
Megillah
(Heb., "scroll." Plural: megillot.) Term for five shorter books of the Bible—Shir Hashirim or Song of Songs, Ruth, Ekha or Lamentations, Kohelet or Eccelesiastes, and Esther—each of which fits on a single scroll and is chanted on a different Jewish holiday.
Midrash
(Heb. Plural: midrashim.) Traditional form of Jewish biblical interpretation that seeks to fill in textual gaps. Narrative interpretation is called aggada, while legal interpretation is called halakhah.
New Jewish Version
Abbreviated NJV. Thoroughly new English translation commissioned by the (U.S.) Jewish Publication Society in 1955. Its Torah appeared in 1962, the complete Tanakh in 1985.
Parity treaty
In the ancient near East, a treaty between political equals (A treaty between unequals is a suzerainty treaty.)
Patriarchy
(Gr., from pater, "father," and archein, "to rule.") Form of social organization in which males hold power.
Pentateuch
(Gr.) First five books of the Hebrew Scriptures; also known as the five books of Moses (Heb., Humash) or Torah.
Peshat
(Heb.) Plain sense.
Prooftext
Biblical passage advanced to corroborate a theological argument.
Prophecy
A biblical mode of knowledge founded upon the premise (or claim) that the words were spoken by God, as the medieval philosopher Gersonides put it, "prior to [the prophets’] coming to be."
Rabbis, the
Generic term, dating from the first century C.E., for Jewish scholars whose approach to religion and the Bible was enshrined in the Talmud and, with significant modifications, has survived in modern Judaism. Also known as the Pharisees, a term of questionable origin possibly meaning "specifiers" or "explainers."
Reformation
Division in the Western church beginning early in the sixteenth century and leading to the foundation of Protestantism. Although the medieval church had come under attack for corruption, the revolt fomented primarily by Luther and Calvin was theological in focus, criticizing Roman Catholic doctrine on redemption and grace. It emphasized the principles of sola fide and sola scriptura.
Revelation
(1) In Judaism and Christianity, the communication of God’s word, originally thought to be sensibly perceptible. "[T]he theophanies in which God appears to, and communicates with, the patriarchs or distinguished individuals, and above all the prophets, are not included in this concept. . . . It is not the experiences of the senses of sight, touch, or taste that constitute authority, but exclusively those within the sphere of hearing" (Gershom Scholem, On Jews and Judaism in Crisis [New York: Schocken, 1976], p. 265). (2) In theological discourse more generally, an event that so captures the imagination of a faith community that its self-understanding is altered forever (H. Richard Niebuhr, The Meaning of Revelation [New York: Macmillan, 1946], p. 93).
Revised Standard Version
Abbreviated RSV. Modern English revision of the KJV authorized by the (U.S.) National Council of Churches in 1937 and published in its entirety in 1952.
Septuagint
(Gr., "seventy.") Abbreviated LXX. Translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek, starting in the third century B.C.E. and requiring over a century to complete. It was the Bible of early Christians. The name derives from a legend that seventy Jewish elders were commissioned separately to do the translation, and yet their finished translations agreed in every detail.
Sola fide
(Lat., "faith alone.") Luther’s reassertion of the Pauline doctrine that Christians are justified, not by their actions (or "works"), but solely by confession of faith in the Christ.
Sola scriptura
(Lat., "scripture alone.") Luther’s doctrine that the Bible is the sole source of Christian practice and theology, unmediated by ecclesiastical authority.
Suzerainty treaty
In the ancient near East, a treaty between political unequals, the suzerain or paramount ruler and the vassal or subservient power. (A treaty between equals is a parity treaty.) The purpose of suzerainty treaties, originating in the Hittite Empire of the Late Bronze Age (ca. 1500–1200 B.C.E.), was to guarantee that a smaller state remained the faithful ally of the empire and did not pursue an independent foreign policy. Starting with Elias Bickerman in 1951, scholars have compared the resemblance of biblical literature to these suzerainty treaties, which share a common structure known as the covenant formulary.
Tanakh
Jewish acronym for the Hebrew Scriptures, derived from Torah (or Pentatech), Neviim (prophets), and Ketuvim (writings).
Talmud
Multivolume compendium of Jewish legal discussion and biblical exegesis, combining most of the Mishnah (for "repeated study") with the Gemara (literally, "completion"), the latter being a commentary upon the former. The Mishnah was compiled in the first years of the third century C.E. and includes the views of the Tannaim, the succession of rabbis from Hillel to Yehudah Hanasi (Judah the Prince), a stretch of some two centuries. The Gemara contains the views of the Amoraim (literally, the "bearers"). There are two Talmuds, the Yerushalmi (compiled in the land of Israel in the fourth and early fifth centuries C.E.) and the Bavli (compiled in Babylon in the fifth and early sixth centuries C.E.), although both contain much earlier material. Usually, the singular term Talmud refers to the Bavli, four times larger than the Yerushalmi and historically the more influential of the two.
Targum
(Aram., "interpretation.") Translation or paraphrase of the Hebrew Scriptures into Aramaic.
Theodicy
(Literally, "divine justice.") Doctrine seeking to explain why God allows evil to exist in the world.
Theophany
(Gr., theo-, "God" + phainesthai, "to appear.") The self-manifestation of God by appearance (see, e.g., Exod 19.16).
Toldah
(Heb., "generation." Plural.: toldot.) Biblical term for genealogy; a subgenre of biblical narrative (see, e.g., Ruth 4.18-23; Matt 1).
Torah
(Heb., "teaching." Plural: torot.) Biblical term to describe statute(s) or procedure(s). In later books, the term may designate the Pentateuch. In postbiblical Hebrew, the term refers to (1) the Pentateuch (in this sense it was translated into Greek as nomos, appearing in the New Testament phrase "the Law and the Prophets"); (2) more loosely, the Bible as a whole; (3) more loosely still, Jewish learning.
Typology
Reading of Scripture that takes it to foreshadow or represent later events.
Vulgate
Translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Latin by St. Jerome (died 419/420), accepted throughout Christendom as the "common version" (hence its name) by the eighth century.
Wisdom
(Heb., Hokhmah.) A largely post-prophetic genre of biblical literature, although sayings of the wise are included as early as the Joseph story, in which truth-claims are founded upon practical experience rather than prophecy.
Brief Summary of Suzerain Treaties:

In the Ancient Near East, treaties between kings was common. These were treaties drawn up among equals and mostly outlined agreements to honor each other's boundaries, to maintain trade relations, and return run-away slaves. These treaties are preserved in the Mari Tablets and in the Amarna texts. Also preserved in these collections are treaties drafted between a superior and his inferior. If the relationship was familial or friendly, the parties are referred to as "father" and "son." If the relationship is bereft of kindness and intimacy, the parties are referred to as "lord" and "servant," or "king" and "vassal," or "greater king" and "lesser king." The greater king is the suzerain and the lesser king is a prince, or a lesser lord in the service of the greater king. The lesser lord is a representative of all the common people who are under the protection of the greater king. He enforces the treaty among the masses.

These Suzerain/Vassal treaties open with two sections: 1) The identification of the Suzerain by his name and titles; 2) The historical survey of the Suzerain's dealings with the vassal. The purpose is to illustrate to the vassal how much the Suzerain has done to protect and establish the vassal who therefore owes submission and allegiance to the Suzerain. These two sections are referred to as the "Preamble."

The next section of these treaties list the "stipulations." What the vassal is required to do is spelled out in principal and detail. This section is often concluded with the requirement that the vassal deposit his copy of the treaty in his temple, where he is to occasionally read and study it to refresh his memory concerning his duties.

The last section of these treaties contains the blessings and curses of the Suzerain. If the stipulations are met by the vassal, he will receive the Suzerain's blessings, which are listed. If the vassal fails to meet the stipulations, he will receive the Suzerain's curses, which are also listed.

The Suzerain would keep one copy of the treaty and the vassal would keep one copy of the treaty. A number of ratifying ceremonies were used depending upon the era and culture. But the most widely used rite was that of cutting the bodies of animals in halves and placing them in two rows with enough space between for the two parties of the treaty to walk side by side. As they walked between the pieces, they were vowing to each other, "May what has happened to these animals, happen to me if I break this covenant with you."

Covenant Documents of the Bible Patterned After Suzerain Treaties:

Exodus 20

* (1-2)"Yahweh" is the Suzerain who delivered this Preamble to Moses, the vassal-lord who represents the people under the authority of the Suzerain.
* names & titles = "I am the Lord, your God."
* historical prologue = "Who brought you out of Egypt..."
* (3-17) Stipulations with selected blessings and curses.
* stipulations = the 10 commandments;
* blessings and curses = (5b-6); (7b); (12b).

Dueteronomy

* (This entire book of Moses is saturated with Suzerain Treaty language and structure. It is not properly the treaty document itself, but it is based upon such a treaty, making reference to it often. Below are some examples.)
* (4:32-40) Historical Prologue language and structure;
* (4:44 - 5:21) Stipulations;
* (6:4-25) Blessings and Curses;
* (8) Reflects all the sections of a suzerain treaty;
* (11) " " "
* (17:14-20) Reflects the relationship of a vassal king to the Suzerain;
* (20) Reflects the language and structure of war-time arrangements between a Suzerain and his people;
* (27-28) Curses and Blessings;
* (29) Covenant Renewal;
* (30:11-19) Classic presentation of Ancient Near East Treaties!
* (A question along the lines of "what came first, the chicken or the egg?" Did God see fit to present his covenant to his people in a cultural form developed by Near Eastern empires, or did God's original pattern for his covenant in Eden inform and form the cultural pattern of the Ancient Near East?)
God is giving you everything He has. God just wants your love and loyalty. We go to the tables. We discuss our paper on the sermon. The talk starts on AA. I relate my experience. It helps hearing from somebody who has been there. I tell of the addiction having a grip on me. I got tired of fighting it and unbuckled, prayed for death, went through the wndw, countless surgeries, years of rehab, I cried in all a hundred gallons of tears. We talkj about the impact of testimonies. The need of them in the church. People are looking up to you and to let them see you drink would mess everything up. Unbelievers do not understand. 1 former Catholic at the table used to attend confession and because he hadn't sinned badly he made stuff up. Pentecostal is a term that makes people come to the wrong conclusions. 1 visitor thought he was visiting a different church and says if he’d known it was Pentecostal, he wouldn't be have come. But he has been coming years now. Ever since day 1. I tell about Pam. How is it? people in smallgroup were getting slain in the Spirit. She said neat,. Have you ever seen anything like this? She said TV. I said I took my seatbelt off because I was tired of fighting my addiction, which started because I was Overwhelmed with a lie and homework in tons.

Galatians 5
Freedom in Christ
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
2Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

7You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? 8That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. 9"A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough." 10I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. 11Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. 12As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!

13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature[a]; rather, serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."[b] 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

Life by the Spirit
16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Matthew 16
The Demand for a Sign
1The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.
2He replied,[a] "When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,' 3and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. 4A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah." Jesus then left them and went away.
The Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees
5When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. 6"Be careful," Jesus said to them. "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."
7They discussed this among themselves and said, "It is because we didn't bring any bread."
8Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? 9Do you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 10Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 11How is it you don't understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees." 12Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Peter's Confession of Christ
13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
14They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
16Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God."
17Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,[c] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.[e] 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[f] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[g] loosed in heaven." 20Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.
Jesus Predicts His Death
21From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!"
23Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."
24Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25For whoever wants to save his life[h] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. 26What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done. 28I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

God's Wrath Against Mankind
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

Jonah 2
Jonah's Prayer
1 From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the LORD his God. 2 He said:
"In my distress I called to the LORD,
and he answered me.
From the depths of the grave [a] I called for help,
and you listened to my cry.

3 You hurled me into the deep,
into the very heart of the seas,
and the currents swirled about me;
all your waves and breakers
swept over me.

4 I said, 'I have been banished
from your sight;
yet I will look again
toward your holy temple.'

5 The engulfing waters threatened me, [b]
the deep surrounded me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.

6 To the roots of the mountains I sank down;
the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you brought my life up from the pit,
O LORD my God.

7 "When my life was ebbing away,
I remembered you, LORD,
and my prayer rose to you,
to your holy temple.

8 "Those who cling to worthless idols
forfeit the grace that could be theirs.

9 But I, with a song of thanksgiving,
will sacrifice to you.
What I have vowed I will make good.
Salvation comes from the LORD."

Jonah 3:5-10

5 The Ninevites believed God. They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.

6 When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. 7 Then he issued a proclamation in Nineveh:
"By the decree of the king and his nobles:
Do not let any man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish."

10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened.

Jonah 1:4-16

4 Then the LORD sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up. 5 All the sailors were afraid and each cried out to his own god. And they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship.
But Jonah had gone below deck, where he lay down and fell into a deep sleep. 6 The captain went to him and said, "How can you sleep? Get up and call on your god! Maybe he will take notice of us, and we will not perish."

7 Then the sailors said to each other, "Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity." They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah.

8 So they asked him, "Tell us, who is responsible for making all this trouble for us? What do you do? Where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?"

9 He answered, "I am a Hebrew and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land."

10 This terrified them and they asked, "What have you done?" (They knew he was running away from the LORD, because he had already told them so.)

11 The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, "What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?"

12 "Pick me up and throw me into the sea," he replied, "and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you."

13 Instead, the men did their best to row back to land. But they could not, for the sea grew even wilder than before. 14 Then they cried to the LORD, "O LORD, please do not let us die for taking this man's life. Do not hold us accountable for killing an innocent man, for you, O LORD, have done as you pleased." 15 Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm. 16 At this the men greatly feared the LORD, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows to him.

35That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." 36Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"

39He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

40He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

41They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"

Jesus Calms the Storm
22One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. 23As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

24The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25"Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.
In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."
